I gotta say, I'm digging the HELL out of this game. The 8-bit presentation is great, and it's weirdly addictive. Having to complete an entire RPG quest in 30 seconds sounds like a gaming nightmare (as I usually hate timers in games), but for some reason, it really works here.
Also, I find it hugely satisfying to have my stalwart hero run screaming at full speed at enemies, and mow them down like a bulldozer.
My last RPG was Final Fantasy Type-Zero, I imported it and it was actually pretty nice - the opening scene was so sad to watch the Chocobo die :/ .
And if I have some time during the christmas holiday, I still have to play Ni No Kuni, which lies around on my desk.
Currently playing through Baldur's Gate 2 for the thousandth time, best game ever made! Last new (to me) RPG I played, other than Skyrim, was Planescape Torment... god there were some amazing games made on the infinity engine!
Weird how some RPGs I loved at the time (Off the top of my head; Mass Effect games, Elder Scrolls games, The Witcher) I can't go back without becoming incredibly bored, incredibly quickly, whereas some others (e.g. BG, Neverwinter Nights, Kotor, Dragon Age: Origins to a lesser extent) I've played loads, some dozens of times since they were released!

Tactics Ogre Let us Cling together, if you liked final fantasy tactics, you are doing yourself a disservice by not playing this game.
I am currently playing multiple games, depending on what I feel like doing in the evening after work! The RPG's I am playing are Pokemon White (DS), Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS) and KOTOR2!
I have a back log of RPS on the DS I haven't even started yet, that I bought before I was deployed, which I am working my way through... These include: FFIII, FFIV, Dragon Quest IV, Nostalgia, Contact and Mario and Louigi: Inside Bowser Story! I just don't know which to start as soon as I finish Golden Sun!! (Very near now!)

Currently playing Fallout 2 for the first time. I was playing it earlier and suddenly noticed that 4 hours had passed, so yeah I'd say I'm quite enjoying it.
I've finished all the Skyrim achievements. So I'm waiting for the mods to be released before jumping back in.

I actually got Sequence from the Christmas pile as well. Kind of interesting. You input spells, defend, and regain mana via a DDR interface. You also collect equipment, level up and theres crafting.
I did want to try half minute hero. Ill have to find it somewhere. Maybe get a PSP in a couple of years haha. Isn't it on XBL?

I bought myself 5 RPGs from GOG. I'm playing through planescape torment first.
But DAMN it's hard to play that when I am still wanting to play skyrim. Eventually I will not be playing skyrim anymore. Then I will be going crazy on BG, BGII, Planescape: Torment, Fallout and Fallout 2.
