Are there any laws you feel are unjust and just an attempt to mimic an Orwellian society? Please note them and describe how exactly you would change or abolish them entirely.

I would personally limit the piracy laws. If it isn't being widely circulated after ten years, it should be free to be downloaded. It isn't like that company is making any large amounts of cash. For instance...SNES and NES roms. Where do you find those systems' games except at garage sales and retro shops. You don't find them at Wal-Mart or Gamestop etc.

I think that law where you're not allowed to kill people is so troublesome. Life would be much easier without it in my opinion.

J-Walking. If I don't see any cars, I should be able to cross the street wherever I want. I get hit, it's my own fault.

Any laws against dealers of vigilante justice.

Seriously, everybody loves a good bit of vigilante justice.

Simply that you should need a license to have children. It would solve quite a few problems im sure it would get rid of a lot of child abuse.

Sounds an awful lot like like eugenics to me, and that never ends well.

No its not eugenics really. It does not apply to any specific race or culture. It simply seperates those who will treat their children like shit from those who won't. How you seperate the groups is up to you but the simple fact is a lot of people who have children don't deserve to and mistreat/hurt them either physically or mentally.

How would you deal with accidental pregnancy? How would decide how 'fit' someone is? Too many morality factors are involved. I agree with you though, if there was some magical way to tell if an adult is fit to have kids or not I'd be all over it.

Guy turns off of a different street, sees you, swerves, hit's a building/car, he dies.

And it's your fault.

Otherwise, there is a "No Spitting" law in my town. Although it's not actually enforced. As my Awesome History Teacher told me, it was created when way back when girls would get spit in their dresses.

I don't have all the answers how to go about it I just answered which law I think there should/n't be. If I did know I'd probably run for government. Anyway yeah theres alot of stuff that would need to be dealt with to put it in place but what a world it would be without child abuse

I wouldn't cross when I thought there would be that chance though. If I did, I'd welcome being hit. I see the issue though, I just think that it shouldn't be a crime.

We have a no spitting law here in Victoria, Australia, it was to stop the spread of TB. It's not enforced.

What exactly is j-walking? Just... crossing the street wrongly? I'm confused. I mean I've heard of it before, just never actually known what the hell it is.

Crossing the street at a place where there is no crosswalk. Here it'll get you a hefty fine.

And out of curiosity, where is 'here'? Pretty sure we don't have that kind of law in England.

I live in Calgary, Canada. They actually just increased the fine, to deter people from doing it. I think it's around a $500 fine now.

...Wow! Do they just not trust people to cross the road without the aid of lines on the ground? It's not THAT difficult!

I know. That is why I suggested we get rid of that law.

I know for a fact that my country has no such law. That's SO stupid. Why the hell can't you cross wherever you want? I'm fairly sure pedestrians have right-of-way in my country everywhere except motorways.

Ok, there is a law, that if you get caught looking at pictures of underage anime girls you can go to prison for life with no chance of parole. There is no scientific link between Lolicon pictures and pedophiles, and I think that what people choose to look at in their own home is not the concern of the government even if my computer is seized because of an unrelated crime, I should not be held accountable for something as stupid as looking at cartoon pictures.
Agreed!

Lucky for you. Pedestrians have right-of-way here as well, but only at crosswalks.
