House of the Dead... I would have rather stuffed crayons up my nose until I spit colors.

The Ring. Why the fuck every person at my school (when it came out) thought it was scary was beyond me, they obviously were all pansies and don't know what scary is. Seriously what a terrible fucking movie that is so laughably un-scary that it disgusts me how it won awards. I was so pissed off after watching it and then hearing people praise that piece of shit, it makes me want to hurt them.

Omg I don't remember the name, but there was a movie in the early 21st that had a lighthouse and I think had something to do with the tooth fairy, I distinctly remember a scene that was supposed to be scary but EVERYONE in the theater was laughing. I LMAO'd to the point that I couldn't see the movie through the tears lol.

The Exorcist. (Does that even count as a horror movie?)

I mean it was weird and all, but not scary.

Movies aren't scary anymore. The stopped years and years ago.
The last unnerving movie I saw was the Exorcist. I grew up in the midst of the Nightmare on Elm Street/Friday the 13th/Hellraiser franchises, movies that were "Terrifying" people, which is a joke in and of itself. Horror movies don't even frighten you. The see how much disgusting crap they can pack into them, playing of a person's queasy stomach for blood/vomit/heads exploding, and couple it with not scaring ... but startling. OMG that dude melted out of the wall with *insert generic blunt weapon type* and where did all this shrill staccato music come from o_O

In order for horror to make a true return, they have to stop listening to the frat boys and making films like Hostel and Club Dredd, and return to a simpler time, when we created the fear for ourselves OR the fear was something so plausible it could be real. A horror movie cannot be made alone on corn syrup + red food coloring and wads of various materials made up to look like organs.

EDIT: Wow ... sorry for the rant. This, I'm guessing, was a sore note. I miss true horror films.

The third Resident Evil movie. The first two had their moments, but the third was just shit. And I enjoyed the first two.

Pretty much any of them.
With the exception of "The Orphanage". Fucking love Guillermo del Torro.

That little shit in the mask is what did it for me.

But most horror movies are not scary to me, especially the American ones, because they are all the same and rely more on the jumping out and startling tactic then actually making you feel tension. European and Japanize horror movies are much better.

Jeepers Creepers. The guy drives his truck like he's playing Twisted Metal. Hell, the only thing that kept me entertained throughout that movie was the thought of him in Rush-Hour traffic. Get Michael Bay to direct it, and you have yourself an Action Movie.
