I think I remember there being some excessively long ones in the game Skies of Arcadia unfortunately I can't find a vid so I can't ascertain if I'm remembering correctly maybe someone else will come up with it.
This is true. To put it to scale a fall from the top of the Grand Canyon to the bottom takes about 15 seconds. Meaning that's a pretty long fall.Crazm said:I reckon 'The Fall' from Portal 2 is one of the longest free-fall descents in a game I've ever seen. It's so long it gives GlaDOS enough time to rant at you for like a minute and a half!
ohh but i beg to differ in Minecraft you can increase the height limit well pass the standard 128 blocks to any number. That a computer could physically can handle so saying the above is not true i could make a ladder a million blocks high.Caliostro said:Actually, I don't think you can create a ladder quite as long as the MGS one on minecraft. Even by mining all the way to the bottom of the map, and building a ladder all the way to the top, it won't take you a whole 2 minutes, non-stop, to climb it.Zhukov said:Sadly the existence of ladders in Minecraft renders all other candidates redundant.
So yeah, I think that one wins.
Numbers for you:Trig0n said:This is true. To put it to scale a fall from the top of the Grand Canyon to the bottom takes about 15 seconds. Hideo Kojima is like a drunken abusive husband. His contempt for his fans is almost as great as the lengths his fans will go to apologise for him when he "gets this way."skywolfblue said:Holy Crap...
Why would they even make a ladder as long as that MGS3 one? It just screams "We like forcing players to suffer through infinitely long ladders".
i still remember my first time as a kid with those stairs...just kept running on em for like 15 minutes straight, then turned around and realized i hadn't moved >_>dark-mortality said:Ladders/Stairs that go on forever? I have oneMario on Nintendo 64. If you haven't got enough stars yet, the stairs up too the last bowser level will actually be infinite.
Tried to find a good video, but everyone is SOOOO OBSESSED with filming the glitch instead... Oh well.
Ohh, found a good oneStill with the glitch though, but it shows that they are Technically infinite without all the stars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70J8SOX5w64&feature=related
I have no idea how to make the videos show on Forums >_>
