year i played Final Fantasy X for stupid amounts of time, i remember having three save files, all of which over 180 hours. glad im not the only one

Would have to be Morrowind, with all the expansions and mods, at least 200-300 hours!

Easily WoW. Played that until recently for 4.5 years solid. A lot. Over 350 days racked up on my main character.

Second on the list would be Oblivion though. I don't know how many hours in total, but I do know that I tracked down and completed Every. Single. Quest. Including the expansions.

Are we talking constanly played or just over time? For constant it goes to Timesplitters with more than a thousand hours of play time. While time wise goes to Starcraft for keeping me occupied for several years.

I wasted years of my life on Everquest, or, as I like to call it, the most expensive typing tutor ever. Seriously, over the 4-5 years I played it, my family must have spent over 1000 dollars between the expansions and monthly fees. However it did increase my typing skills immensely, so I guess there was a silver lining.

Morrowind Game of the Year Edition for Xbox... I played that game almost religiously for two years. I had other games, but I'd play that the most and sometimes just forget about others. The main quest was finished after the first year, but I still hadn't explored the entire land.
Maybe about 1000 hours were spent on it. Maybe more.

I got it two years before the Xbox 360, and once I got that, my original Xbox broke; I don't like playing it on the 360 because of the glitches.

Spent about 150 hours on FFVII getting every materia, leveling up everyone to 99, mastering each materia, getting 99 of every item, and beating each Weapon.

I have also spent incalculable hours on CivIII, though on different playthroughs.

Likely WoW but in terms of an offline game, I think Phantasy Star Online grabbed me like a heroin addiction and refused to let me go. I have 3 memory cards with characters with a minimum of 50 hours on and my main character had over 200 hours.

Oblivion has gotta be the most for me. All total game hours into that game probably over 1000+ hours.

Edit: Probably a total of 3 Characters in all those hours. Mage/Bowman, Warrior, Rogue. Keeping it simple.

GTA San Andreas. 3000+ hours. played this game for about 2 years it was the only game i had for the PS2. i made several saves about 300 hours each. best game of the series i think. also i didnt get a single seizure! i put in the "recruit anyone cheat" "peds have weapons" and pretty much had my own personal world war 3.

World of Warcraft is a candidate. I spent inordinate amounts of time getting exalted for Timbermaw, Sporeggar, and the Kurenai because I thought it was funny. And this was before they implemented the achievement system, and raised the reputation rewards for those in Lich King.

Another possibility is the original Final Fantasy. My parties would consist of four white mages. Needless to say, they took a bit of leveling up just to consistently take on pirates.

3,500+ hours of Oblivion.

360 version.

WoW for over 800 hours and the runner-up is Devil May Cry 3, with 90 hours.

Medieval: Total War cocks somewhere between 600 and 700 hours by now. HOMM 3 is a follow up, with NWN and Diablo 2. Borderlands is a recent addition, with at least 400 hours of playtime. And my longest period of time with a game continuously, 37 hours straight without leaving the game, aside form vital necessities.

And then there's both Morrowind and Oblivion, ~300 hours each, Dragon age with about 150 and Battlefield 1942 with... um... don't know, actually.

City of Villains. Have 12 level 50 characters, and for those that know about it, 11 of them were made before the Architect Entertainment system came out. (not including the few I have on Hero side as well or the many that were made and deleted over the years) 4+ years of gaming.

WoW is, without a doubt, the one I spent the most time on (with some 2-300 hours spread over my 4 80s and many, many, many alts), but I'd rather not count that one...

Otherwise, it has to be Tales of Symphonia. Oh, the ungodly ammount of hours I've spent on that game... So worth it, though...
