I think I heard them say "30 minutes", but I can't be sure. Also, the last kid deserves some props for his iron-will. he didn't even eat a piece of it.

I some how doubt that. every kid I know wouldn't be able to sit in a chair for half an hour.
I wonder what the kids reactions would be like if the woman said "if you wait a little longer you can have another one" straight after she gave them the second marshmallow.

I'd like to think i would have lasted. I was always good at working the system to get maximum profit, or doing what I needed to get maximum profit.

When I was in the fourth grade some high-schoolers came to our classroom and took some kids for a similar experiment. They were sat around a table with five M&Ms each and the promise of more if they could wait. Then while they were waiting the high-schoolers were sitting at a nearby table stuffing their faces from a huge bowl of M&Ms.
