Hmm, I like quite a few bands, but I really came here for recommendations.

Sadly, everyone here likes Death Metal.

Is there a band that has awesome, heavily distorted yet fairly simple guitar riffs, actual singing without growling or screaming, and topics other than how BRUTAL they are?

Because I'm sad that I only like mainstream stuff...

I listen to death metal mostly, like devildriver, arch enemy,there is too many sub genre's of metal to name them all. Viking metal is pretty cool too.
