Probably the Alps.
I've been to many beautiful places, but my mind always wanders back to those mountains.

A tossup between walking along and on top of Hadrian's Wall in Britain, and Yosemite national park in California. The Redwood national & state parks in the same state are up there too, but I was too young to really remember the landscapes. The feeling of awe sticks with you though, when you walk past the fallen trees that are more than twice as wide as you are tall, and look up into the branches of the old grove forests, and really realize that you're walking among the oldest living things on the planet.

The most beautiful place I've ever been to is the stripclub... Oh wait...

Norway for sure. The mountains, the water, the snow and the trees all mixed into one epic landscape. Seriously, if you ever get the chance to go there, don't hesitate. Just go for it, you won't regret it.

The Faroe Islands.
Up on those mountains the clouds are so thick you can't see more than a metre in front of you... then a single gust of wind comes along, the clouds instantaneously vanish and you get treated to a view that takes your breath away.
Also, on a related note, I really like the language there. It's like Danish, only it sounds like the people are all drunk. xD

The Fjords just outside of Oslo were breathtaking, definately going back there when I get the opportunity
The Norwegian fjords ranked as nr.1 in the National Geographic ranking of top travel locations. Norway also ranked as nr.1 as the best country to live in. So I would suggest going there ^^

So it raises the question. Whats the most amazing place or thing youve seen with your own eyes? If you havn't traveled much then if you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Norway is truly an amazing place to visit, Northern Lights, Fjords, it's amazing.

Any of the small Islands in Maldives, been twice and the underwater activity is stunning. But if I could go any where in the world, it'd have to be the location from 'The Beach' A friends brother has been there, and he said it was so beautiful he was depressed the 2 weeks after he left.

Also, anywhere with snowy mountains. I went to Breckenridge, US for 2 weeks a few years ago, and went skiing early morning on New Years Day, Never came across another person in the 5+ hours I was skiing, so from the top of the slope all I could see was snow and trees, looked so much better without people on it.

I'd have to say Lake Louise in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. I've never seen a more picturesque place. The georgous still blue water, the rocky crags of the snow covered mountains on either side, beautiful pine trees all around. Amazing. You don't get things like that in Australia, I'd love to go back someday.

I want to go back to Europe. I went once when I was a kid and enjoyed the fuck out of it. Germany, Amsterdam for obvious reasons, and Scandinavia in general (I'm a viking nut).

The most beautiful things I've seen are the Northern Lights and the Alps. I love mountains because there are none where I live. I also get happy when I drive out of state and come back and see Detroit loom in front of me. We're fucked up, but I am not comfortable in normal civilization. All of you fucking people with your lights, economies, desk jobs... bah piss on all that.

Actually one of the most beautiful places iv been is about 3 hours from me in midlands UK but i suppose it was situation. It was 10 am on a quite misty day i had been hiking for about 2 hours with friends, we where a bit lost so we stopped at the top of this steep hill there was a forest and river at the bottom and the mist was coming off the river and piling up against the hill and swirling around, usually i wouldn't of given a scene like this a second glance but it was an amazing scene to us a hikers.

Being Canadian, I will have to be biased and say come to Canada. I will also attempt to give actual examples...

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot, there's also Prince Edward Island in Canada, with the famous red dirt...
Regarding that first picture, I refuse to believe that the water is that blue! It's like someone sprayed baby blue on the picture on paint. Is it really THAT blue?

Anyway Scotland has some nice mountains and skiing in the Cairgorns is fun.

A bunch of Fjords in Norway. I'm not exactly sure where we were, but it was breathtaking. Felt like I stepped into a Fantasy film, right up until I remembered we were driving a car.
I agree, Norway has some of the most fantastic scenery I've ever seen. Here's some holiday snaps, taken from various places in Norway :D

Hmmm, probably the Sagrada Famalia in Barcelona. Absolutely beautiful place.

[spoiler/][image/]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c0/Sagradafamilia-overview.jpg[/IMG]
As you can see, it is not finished, Gaudi (the architect) died before it's completion. However, using the original plans, it is due to be completed in 2010.
The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world

Penang, Malaysia is also pretty beautiful

But I will always have a soft spot for Bali

That last one is a volcanic black sand beach, doesn't look like much in that picture but it's pretty incredible

And Paris in the snow

And I don't really like Paris, but in the snow it's incredible.

Closer to home (well my home, Australia), the places that I think are beautiful are Sydney's harbor and beaches, north Queensland for its rainforests and reefs and central Australia for it's incredible landscape (Uluru, Kings Canyon, the Olgas amongst others).

The top five places that I'd like to go that I haven't been are probably Macchu Picchu in Peru, Cairo in Egypt, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Amazon rainforest and Hawaii :)

Really takes me back them pics, not the same place, but veeery close, best to see them in winter when its all iced and snowed over I reckon.

Would also love to visit Machu Pichu, something wierd and mysterious about that place, a true ghost "town"
