Gotta be Crysis!
A grenade sending bodies and chunks of building flying through the stunning scenery... Perfect.

The original DOOM game when you find everyone looking the other way and you have the BFG9000...

-In Call of Duty 4 :
-when an Abrams fires a 120mm shell into a T-72 through two walls.
-when the nuke detonates
-In the multiplayer of Red Alert, when four of your cruisers blow up the entire ennemy base
-In STALKER, when you begin the game and come in the open
-In F.E.A.R. When you are pushed against a wall by the explosion of the complex in the end
-In Half-Life 2 :
-when you come out of the trainstation for the first time and see the city.
-when the top of the citadel explodes and the time stops
-In civilisation II, when your spacecraft leaves earth

Everything in Loom.

The locations are all brilliant, and the world is fantastic and alive with imagination.

The game also has a pretty shocking moment, based on the fact that it's a very non-violent game that focuses mostly on magic and puzzles, and near the end of the game, someone dies, and in a very brutal and graphic way. The game was beautiful, and that was one of the biggest "OHHH!!!" moments that I can recall in a video game.

seeing jerusalem for the first time in assasins creed and knowing that you could run all over every single nook you see without loading. for that matter, any city in that game looked stunning, and every building was exquisitely designed

Shooting down my first chopper in GTA4...
Watching any of the "Meet the _____" trailers for TF2...
Getting about five million orcs onscreen at the same time in Battle for Middle-Earth 2 and going on a killing spree...
Getting my first 2 for one on Halo 3 while playing a team game...
Seeing the first trailer for Halo Wars and collectively crapping my pants...
Beating Lou on Hard in GH3 and accidentally smashing my controller in joy...
Letting out fangirl screams when I heard that Darth Vader is going to be a playable character in Soul Caliber 4...
Having the joy turn to tears as I found out he's only on the PS3...
Having hope rekindled as I heard that he will be available for download over Xbox Live...
Laughing in PS3's face...
Pretty much every big explosion or headshot in Call of Duty 4...
Getting my ass handed to me the first few ranks because I was playing on Recruit with infinite ammo for two weeks...
Performing an Obliteration or Ultimate Technique for the first time on Ninja Gaiden 2...
And so many more. God, video games rule.

Yeah, I would have to say that the cities in Assassin's Creed top the list for me. Oblivion is definately up there as well along with some of the CoD4 levels.

The first Halo 3 trailer, the entry into Rapture, Hyrule field at twilight, Blowing up 343 Guilty Spark with a Spartan Laser :)D), The canyon level in Farcry, The cell shaded gorgeousness in TLoZ: The Windwaker, Jeruselam in Assasin's Creed (I hate that game but still...), I could go on...

3. Assassin's Creed - the cities in that game are immense, it's just a shame they forgot to put a game in there.

2. Crysis - Onslaught mission, turning the corner to see the mountain crumbling away right before my eyes. Freaking awesome.

1. The Curse of Monkey Island introduction. From seeing the island, to the cannon-shot and realising you're about to play a truly epic game. Beautiful.

Bits of Oblivion, i still sometimes just load it up and walk around, also, guild wars because Ive had contests with m8s on there, see who can find the coolest details (i won all but one), assassins creed for all the reasons others have said, CoD4 just the sniper lever, and final fantasy 7 seeing the back of midgar for the first time. that world map looked so good...

That beautiful moment in Supreme Commander when your enemy realizes that no, you are not rushing pansy mechs, but are instead a turtle of epic, basically psychotic proportions. Watching wave after wave of hopeless foes hurl their pitiful little bodies against my fortifications is simply magnificent.

Resident Evil 4 - The moment when Leon throws his knife into Salazar's hand and he starts to cry. I was so happy!

World of Warcraft. When I started playing, I was a Tauren, and standing atop the highest rise in Thunder Bluff on my first day was just breathtaking. In fact, any high object in that game makes everything look really pretty....

in half-life 2 the battle where you shoot down the gun ship from the top of the light house was amazing

or the entire sequence where you ride the citadel transport system to the top of the tower
