the portalgun
it doesn't kill anything
Yes it does, not only indirectly (making them fall into something hard or spiky or generally dangerous) but also, ever thought of opening a wormhole on another person or inside them? I thought not.

A "healing shiv" a term referring to a combat-like weapon that heals. That's what the "shiv" part is for (shiv means knife).

THIS! I mean...ITS A KEY! A GIANT KEY!!
I don't know man, it doesn't seem any different then any other bludgeoning instrument. For impractical weapons I'm going to have to go with the dildo from San Andreas.
Yo dude why you gotta call out my favorite weapon!? You know how many hookers you can destroy with that!?!/
Enough that the only safe place to store it is in a police station's showers?

The Chinese Pistol in Fallout 3.

Has anyone ever used that piece of junk?
No, the .32 cal pistol is worse. Much worse. Maxes out at 4 DMG not the 5 DMG that the Chinese pistol has.

But that's not the worst, the worst is the Plasma Pistol from Halo. That thing is "shite on a crusty role" to quote Yahtzee out of context.
Plasma pistol's awesome if you know how to use it: fully charged it will remove a Brutes armor (useful on legendary; a quick swap nets an easy headshot kill) and fully charged it will disabl the engine on a vehicle; couple with it's homing capabilities it owns Banshees plus it's good against any vehicle as well

Those bug things in the original Half-Life.
Those things attack you if you try to use them! What was the point of them?
You mainly use them if you're on a balcony above the enemy or something similar.

Also, in multi-player, they're good bait against anyone using the Hive Hand. The bees will go after the Snarks to kill them before they go after you. So, if someone's firing bees at you, throw some Snarks one way and run the other to give yourself a little bit of breathing room.

Scoot's scattergun. There's no way it could possibly function in real life. It's another prime example of Valve's weapon designers never having actually fired a weapon before.
Er, reload with Engineer pistol and think again.
Then reload with any rocket launcher.
Then the grenade launcher.
Then remember how you never actually put shells into the Scattergun...

The new Rocket Jumper from Team Fortress 2. It's a rocket launcher that does zero damage. I really have no idea why anyone would use it.
It's designed so you can practise on rocketjumps.
Practicing rocket jumps is best done using an actual rocket launcher so you get used to the amount of damage you will take by using the tactic. Anyway, don't the gunboats already allow people who dislike the rocket jump damage to negate the majority of it?

Unrealistic, sure. Impractical? I take it you have never been shot by the scout: In game, its very practical. And as for Valve never fireing a Gun: Well, you really have to reason to think that, because how guns work in real life bears no relevance to what makes a game fun, particularly a game in TF2s style.
Oh I've been hit by plenty of scatterguns. None of 'em killed me unless I was already below 80HP or so. The FaN is way more dangerous.

Scoot's scattergun is a physical impossiblity. There's no way in hell it would work.

I didn't say Halo 2, 3, or ODST. I said Halo. As in Halo: Combat Evolved. As in the first one. Where you can't dual wield.
You dont need it to be a good gun, charge, 1 shot, melee dead.
It also had a higher fire rate and (I believe) better damage per shot and more shots per charge than the plasma rifle. It was all I used on legendary in the original...
