What is your most petty complaint that you could have about any game?
Here's mine: I cannot stand Liara's face in Lair of the Shadow Broker. Her eyes are way too dark, and her lips turned from a nice soft pink to purple. I don't know why, it just bugs the hell out of me since I'm so used to her old face.

I hate the fact that Kratos can't focus his efforts on becoming a florist.

Indeed.

Wow, I have nothing more to say. Shattered my whole perception of the Escapist, that post did.

My petty complaint recently is playing though deus ex all stealthy-like while the takedowns are as loud as that bullet detective nonsense scene in the dark knight

When you can't manually jump in a game. Something about it just pisses me off.

EDIT: It can be pointless because not every game requires jump. Yet I can still get pissed about it.

I hate it when you can't see your feet in a first person game. It makes it feel like you are playing as some sort of floating eyeball.

Not being able to jump in a number of games. I have no idea why, the ability to jump in some games is actually pretty pointless but it pisses me off anyway.

I don't like the sound your footsteps make when wearing one of those big suits of armor in Fallout 3.
Loud footsteps in general, to be honest. I mean, Christ, protagonist - are you running around in tap shoes? You're skinny as a rake, yet you can't sneak? Why does your every footstep have to sound like you're hammering in loose nails?

Maybe I just hate the sound of footsteps altogether.

I hate that the Xbox's controller has A at the bottom, and B at the right; cuz I'm so used to Gameboy/DS controls that when Fable III (PC, w/gamepad) says "Press A to quick travel, B to not" I press A cuz I think it's B and I'm like "yo why the fuck did I just quick travel"

Huh, I came here expecting it to be a general silly complains thread, I was gonna contribute a story from my time as a waiter when a customer returned a salad because it was "too green" and he didn't trust it.
Meh,I'm here now so OT:

When reloading takes less than half a second, ok changing a clip could be that fast for a professional but all you have been collecting are bullets, not magazines.
So I'm to either suspect you have been secretly loading all of your bullets into an eternal supply of magazines during the load screens or are super fast at putting 15 bullets into a magazine and slamming it into a gun every time I press the reload button.

Yeah I know it's to keep the action fluid but I guess it just bugs me.

Friggin' ninjas.

Anyway, what Spud said. I find that whenever an FPS doesn't have the legs of the characters below them, it just breaks all kinds of immersion for me.

Now that I think about it, Halo has been the only series to really do the leg thing.

Mostly that. It's like you don't miss it until it's gone. ; ;

When people go "OMG LOOK AT MY CAPTCHA HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO READ THIS" in every 20th post or so.

...Oh in games. People whining about the graphics when they aren't really that bad. I don't get what all the complaints about Duke Nukem Forever are, for example. It's not the prettiest game out there, but if anyone truly thinks it looks like a PS2 game, they're out of their damn minds.

Oh boy, yet another "X thing you didn't like about a game" thread. As if the Escapist could use one more cynical / pessimistic topic.

I'm all for sharing opinions, but this website seems to be usually discussing nothing but negative stuff.
So what do you do? Be negative about the negativity while not even adding to the thread. That always helps, good job.

When you're doing a quest, and then you have to talk to this person in order to continue the quest, and then once you talk to the person in order to complete the quest they tell you that in order to complete the quest you have to do another quest for them, and then once you start the quest for them you talk to someone else and that opens up like 3 more quests, and the cycle continues.

I hate that in Dragon Valor, the magic sword 'Kadum' is used the least and is only available for use in one chapter.

I know the swords don't give you any extra abilities or changes anything.. but shutup! It's a massive blue sword that has TWO blades and it's badass!
