Carl chuckled to himself as he saw Casa trying to pull off a look of bravado.

"Don't worry mate, I'll be sure to look after you out there. Mostly."

Glancing around at the forest, he shrugged.

"I guess we're walking then...?"

"You can." Snorted Sal, stretching her arms. "I was thinking of floating to be honest."
Closing her eyes for focus, she clapped her hands then drew them apart, causing a large bubble to form. It grew bigger until it engulfed her completely, then she opened her eyes and smiled.

"Just point me in the general direction, I'll find it." Sal said mischievoulsy.

"Lucky," Conner sighed as he moved up alongside Casa. Feeling around inside his jacket, he wanted to make sure his two best means of defense were still there.

Carl chuckled.

"Well float on then Soap."

As he walked past, he mischievously sent a small spark flying at the bubble from the end of his finger.

Dexla walked a few feet behind the group. She was unsure of what to say. Large groups made her extremely uncomfortable.

I have no clue what to say. Hi? How are you doing? How do you feel about us running into a heavily armored base that might be a trap just to rescue one man? Dexla breathed in then sighed. "Its not my fault I'm a recluse", Dexla muttered under her breath

"Say, I could transform," Conner mumbled to himself. "I keep my weight, since my hand gets shorter when it becomes a claw, so what if I became a bird? I mean, their bones are hollow, right? So, would I just be really big?" Tilting his head up, he imagined just how big a bird he would be.

The spark bounced off Sal's bubble, causing a ripple on it's surface.
"Nice try, like I'd make a wimpy soap bubble for travelling." She rested her hand against the bottom of the bubble, propelling herself upwards by firing out tiny little bubbles. When she was a few feet off the ground, she stopped, taking a look around.

Quickly doing some math in his head, Conner grinned at the thought of a fifty foot hawk, then shuddered at the thought of seeing one.

"I'd make a pretty big attack dog, too," he mused. "Need to see if clothing transforms with me, and what kinds."

Jason was sorely tempted to follow suite and try pop the bubble, but then stopped when it started floating off the ground. That would be mean.

Jason noticed he was sweating, and that he was rather warm, so he decided to cool the nitrogen around him, cooling himself down.

Adrian followed Jason intently, playing with a glob of liquidized metal that had formed around his hand. The substance moved around his finger tips, it began spiraling up and down his wrist as he walked.

After picturing some interesting combinations of animals, Conner chuckled but quickly stopped, remembering that he was likely about to fight more people, but who had bigger guns than local police.

Dexla pulled a long bone out of her arm and twirled it in her hand. It was sharp on both ends and as white as snow.

She had been going through conversation starters in her head for quite sometime. After a few moments of silence she finally spoke. "So.. uh.. How..uh..um.. is everyone today?"

"Wha? Oh," Conner stumbled, snapping back to reality. "A little hungry, but otherwise good. For a fugitive, anyways. Yourself?"

Carl turned his head as he heard Dexla's question.

"Not bad, at least it doesn't feel like the Devil is pounding fiery hammers of hell against the inside of my temples any more."

His stomach rumbled.

"Could do with something to eat though..."

He glanced her way again.

"How about you?"

Dexla smiled thinly. She was surprised that Carl and Conner had actually answered her. "Oh.. uh, I'm ok. Except I'm also a little hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday." She laughed nervously as she continued to swirl the bone in her hands.

Carl smiled.

"Tell me about it. Might have to go for a scavenge around this place when we bust our way in."

Rubbing at his temples again, he took a deep breath as he walked.

"So where's everyone from then?"

John was at very back of the group keeping tabs on everyone's powers and reading a book he found in an alleyway. It was called Raven's Gate. He had no idea why someone would throw away a book with such an interesting title. He prefered not to join in on the conversation since he didn't have much to say anyway.

"I'm from, uh, Eastern Tennessee," Conner explained, "but I got lucky and didn't grow up with an accent. My mom moved there with us, so I wasn't born there."

"Germany, Munich if you want be exact. What, you think that Adrian Getmen is an English name?" Adrian said sarcastically as he rummaged through his bag in search of something to eat, mindlessly pushing away fragile objects in search of a snack.

"Adrian Getman." Wes said in as good a German accent as he could conjure. "Sounds right." He chuckled.

"I'm from Calgary, originally. It's not a bad city, as long as you don't count the people with mutant-issues."
I just realized that I've been using my name instead of the name I put on the character sheet. It would be more confusing to change now, so I'm not going to try.

Just a heads-up in case somebody looks at my sheet.
