Casa whips his head around, "..she was here earlier, she brought Malcolm back...then vanished I think..."

It doesn't matter, we have two new mutants to fill her spot and his, he points at Malcolm's comatose form, now leave, please, I must find out more information.

Magneto disappears into the forest again, leaving the group standing around in the clearing again.

"Shall we head off to eat then?" Casa asks the group wearily.

"Paranoid? I am not the one who thinks I am asking to be sent back! I wanted to know what was so important... but lies will have to suffice." Jacob growls as he turns to Casa.

"Its been a while since I have eaten... maybe 3 days so yes, food would be nice." he finishes.

"Come on, man," Conner said, trying to console Wes, "you're gonna be alright. Once he's done you'll be good as new."

"C'mon then, you can chat in the mess," Casa sighs turning to lead the group from the area to the mess tent.

His mind focused more on what happened to Soap than anything else.

"My tent is close." Wes said, and started 'leading' Connor and Maddox. He slumped onto the cot, and reached over to his propane lamp. It snapped and burned to life, casting white light over them. "Use that." He said to Maddox, remembering that he had asked for a heat source.

I know, this doesn't really set you up to start moving again. But, I'm kind of tired of being dead weight and I still want to leave it open for Mookie to do his thing.

"Alright, now that you're in good hands," Conner began as he moved to the tent entrance, "I'll go find out where we're going now and I'll let you guys know. No offense, but I doubt Magneto will stop just for one mutant to get patched up." Leaving the tent, he headed back to the group, preparing to remember any important details of what was to come.

"Light energy works just as well as heat energy..." Maddox said. He carefully removed Wes' shirt, in order to get better access to the wound. He saw Wes wince as the fabric slid over the gunshot.

"Sorry... There." Maddox said, once the shoulder was fully exposed. He cast the light directly above them, and felt the warmth cast over them. "I have a feeling that this will hurt... Sorry in advance."

Maddox focused on the wound, and began pumping energy into it. The light dimmed and flickered, but stayed on as Maddox pulled more energy from it. The wound began to bleed lightly again, very slowly. The flesh slowly began to knit itself back together, and after a few minutes, the wound was covered, a scar in its place.

"There..." Maddox said tiredly. "Fuck... That was not as easy as I expected."

As Maddox finished, Wes unsqueezed his eyes and took a deep breath. He looked at the shoulder and ran his hand over it. All that was left was a round, pale scar. A deep ache still remained, but it wasn't even close to the pain it was in before. He heaved himself forward off the bed, and stood up. "Thanks." He said, "I'll try not to get shot again."

Wes was still pale and light-headed, but functional. Ignoring crust of smeared blood on his chest and neck, he struggled into a new shirt. He rolled his shoulder to try and work out the stiffness. "Are we going to meet the others, or do you need a second?" He asked Maddox, with a slight smile, "I honestly wouldn't mind laying down for another minute."

Casa leads the group to the mess tent and pulls the flap aside to reveal a rather large area under the canvas.

"You can order virtually anything you like, Tommy's talent is...unique in that he can create pretty much any dish asked of him...I've never understood how, but he is amazing at it!" beams Casa as he holds the flap open for the others to go in.

"I'll be back in a bit, I'm gonna get Wes and Maddox," Conner explained, walking back to their location. "Hey, there's no hurry right now, guys. Casa is giving us time to eat, and apparently someone can create food. You feeling better, Wes?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine Wes." Maddox said, standing up. "I just need get something to eat."

Another mutant came in and told Maddox and Wes that there was food available. Maddox didn't need to be told twice. He got up, and walked towards the mess hall.

Sal guided Malcolm, still in his bubble, into the camp's infirmary. The bubble landed on a bed and popped silently, dropping Malcolm onto it. A medic moved over to the new arrival.

Sal said to the medic, "I found him unconscious on our way out," then turned and left without waiting for an answer.

wait was really fucking long actually, right...uh my computer wiped the original file about all this...but I think I got it mostly right again >.>

The bubble girl is gone, whispers the Commander as he watches Sal disappear, we'll go in while they're all in one room, wait out, he end the connection with the group.

He flicks open a satellite phone and dials a connection to command.

Sir, we have the base, we're moving in soon, drop the Reform is possible please, he whispers into the microphone.

A grunted "OK" emits lightly from the earpiece.

Miles away in another army town guised as a village, a set of guards lead a metal skinned mutant from a small house on the out skirts to the idling chopper in the middle of the town square.

Looks like your finally getting a mission you freak, one of them hisses at the bound mutant. The steel man glares down at him as he embarks the chopper.

It takes off as the guard backs away feeling his soul chill from his glare.

Wes wearily went to the "cafeteria" and got a tray of food. He sat down among some mutants that had been on the same mission as him.

Jacob walked through the dining hall with his tray of food and looked over to the table with his new found "friends", he scratched his lightly stubbled chin and decided he would be more than welcome at their table.

He walked over and sat down opposite Wes and asked "Do you like muffins?".
