So, when was the last time you felt like a total noob?
I just got a new cellphone today and i couldnt understand why it didnt get any connection/bars..
So i rang up the hotline, and the guy asked me if i had tried to restart the phone. The moment he said it i thought: "Aww jesus fucking christ, why the hell didnt you try that before wasting this dudes time?"
Needless to say, i feel abit noobish right now...

So fellow Escapians, share your noob stories.. :]

When I forgot someone's name only a minute or so after they introduced themselves to me... >.<

Luckily I got away with it as she introduced herself to someone else as well.

My internet connection turned unstable, as in packet loss to the extreme. I got so aggrivated i almost threw my screen through the window. My provider has downtimes coming and going so when this happened i was fed up, they were going to hear it real good. So i rung them up and yelled at em and they couldnt find any error on their part, which in turn made me think that i was talking to retard who didnt know customerservice at all.

So when i finally hung up after screaming at them over the phone for quite a while i thought id check if there was anything wrong. And i realised when i picked up my chewed up ethernet cable that it wasnt the provider, but the housebunny from hell, that my girlfriend nagged me to adopt, who had chewed through half the cable.

If i hadnt acted like a total noob calling the provider first, the bunny would probably be without a neck and id be a bachelor.

Anytime I have to do anything in front of a person. Even if I have done it before I feel all this pressure to perform and screw up. (i.e. typing the wrong key combination to the art studio when the teacher walked up wanting in)

The other day I actually forgot how to work my oven. I was stood there for like 10 minutes staring at the thing in utter confusion before my roommate showed up and just did it for me.

I felt so fucking stupid...

I can't cook to save my life. In my high school French class, the only assignment I ever failed to do concerned cooking. I sought out the simplest recipes I could find, and despite this, could not get past staring blankly at the foreign verbs. (The recipes were written in English.)

when i was donating blood this afternoon, i asked all the people who was the last (so i'd know after whom i could "check in" (there are 3 compartments? partitions? along the counter where you can/have to fill out all that stuff they need to know of you... every single effing time))

then the guy next to me said "you do see that there's a free compartment?" ^^
i felt kind of stupid right then ^^

also, sometimes when i play league of legends (a DotA-ish game) i just can't seem to accomplish anything and basically suck. regarding all the good games i had/have, that feels rather irritating (read: i feel n00bified)

Basically anytime I played TF2 on the PC.

Too many different maps and severs and menus for me to handle. Not to mention I play horribly with the mouse and keyboard.

Which is why I kind of went back to the 360 version.

I never used to be able to cook either. I learnt/got taught over the past year. So now I can cook, but this one time the cooker just baffled me. It was so embarassing.

Ah. This happens to me all the time. I call it family reunion syndrome. "Here's 20 people who could give you a kidney, but probably won't. Just know that you're related to these total strangers you're just meeting today and you always have been alright?" It's like we're introducing new cast members on "Lost". And the ones I do recognize I only see maybe twice a year. So yeah, I'd need a set of playing cards to keep them all straight. Then I'd need to have a hopeless gambling addiction.

When I was playing Red Alert 3 yesterday, and Company of Heroes a few hours before that. Gods I suck at RTS games now...

Though a few days before that I felt even worse of a noob when playing Victoria 2 for the first time. How on earth am I going to get into that game, I really have no freakin' idea.

A few days ago I got really annoyed because my moniter wasn't turning on. I then realised that I had yet to hit the on button.

Every time I play a FPS game. I play them so seldom and I really really suck at aiming so my stats were last time after 20 min on Free For All something like 7 - 34

This one didn't happen to me but a teammate on Black Ops, he started speaking into his mic and stated " How do you talk into the mic?" Me: You just talk dude... o_O... it lead me to believe that he was making the transition over from PC since you have to hit a key to speak on PC but he never said that no matter how many times I asked, he kept saying he was a noob yet he was level 40. o_O...

As for me I have a ton of noob moments whenever I see someone I've met but am not great friends with them I just call them man or dude... =S
