Urgh, this morning at school I was dead tired and was going to do some photoshopping and I could simply not remember how to unlock a layer... Moments later I raged at the program because i couldnt use the brush tool (no colour showed up!!) i then figured i had a copy of the layer on top of the one I was trying to edit... T'was slightly awkward.

Since I am a computer science major, everyone thinks that means I know how to fix every electronics problem they have. This is especially bad with phones, which I am particularly bad with. I usually end up cursing at the bad interface design, looking through their help program with about a 50% chance of finding the problem and fixing it.

I really hate the look of betrayal that says "but I thought you were smart".
This.
Just because i design websites I have been sandbagged with the responsibility of being the family computer guy. NO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT [insert obscure error code here] MEANS. I will probably solve all of your computer problems that you come to me with by googling it.

And then they look at you like you should know it already.

I feel n00bish almost all the time.

I used to play pen&paper role playing with some friends and we took turns to cook something at those evenings. So when it was my turn I decided to make a very easy recipe because of my (lack of) cooking skills. They had teased me with my little knowledge about it so I really wanted to make something at least a little bit tasty. Needless to say, I fucked it up pretty bad. And it didn't help on the teasing either.

The other day on Black Ops I was trying out decoys on my kits. Then during a game of S&D I got confused by red dots on my mini map that were out of the map. I assumed people were somehow glitching out of the map. Turns out they were using decoys.

Tried to switch the "message received" tone for my phone the other day. I've done it several time but I couldn't this day. It took me about 10 minutes to realise i was selecting "ring tone" instead of "message alert" in the menu.

I felt stupid after that.

Any time my computer throws a fit and doesn't work right. I'm not very tech savvy, so...my only method of solving a problem is googling it and hoping it works T_T
Dont think that really is being a noob, who hasnt google'd a problem they had?
You would be a noob if you called your friends to fix the problem for you.. I know people like that and it pisses me off...

I went to Quebec for New Years to visit my family. Normally I can speak French pretty well, but this time around I kept getting anxious and I kept screwing up and couldn't speak to them (or anybody else in the province for that matter D: )

Peace ~

I felt like a noob yesterday.

I started playing Marvel vs Capcom 2, in anticipation of MvC3 coming out next month. So, I figured I'd get some practice in on 2 first.

When you get your ass handed to you in arcade EASY mode, you know you've got a long way to go. As much as I'm looking forward to MvC3, I'm sure I'm going to get pounded into the dirt more than alittle bit.

I hate being asked to repair electronic devices as if we still lived in the days where a bit of solder and a new capacitor (or whatever) would fix most problems. Hell, a lot of gadgets these days aren't designed to be repaired or at least not designed to be repaired outside of a fully stocked and manufacturer certified workshop.

I really hate the look of betrayal that says "but I thought you were smart".
Don't you just want to yell at them "BRING ME A PROBLEM THAT INVOLVES MY ACTUAL SKILLSETS!"?

Jokes aside; Yesterday while playing Splinter Cell; Conviction, after a rather long break. I didn't remember the controls at all, so I just mashed buttons while trying to remember. Died like crazy on the easiest difficulty.
Also got to a room later on where I had to pass some lasers without getting detected. Needless to say... I failed like 30 times. When I finally passed that room I got to another with more complex lasers.
I turned off the game.

Damn my worthless patience! Perhaps stealth games aren't for me, but I do love them. >.<

The first few hours of black ops multiplayer.

Me: Well the maps look pretty. Ooh, if I hit the button the launch pad opens. DAMMIT!Did I just get killed by a crossbow? This is not Assassin's Creed!

I'm graduating with a Computer Science degree, and my situation is worse than yours.
People think that because I went into an engineering department I'm some sort of engineer god, and they ask me to fix doors and give opinions on the blueprints of their house without even looking at the blueprints themselves.

I enjoy noob moments every time I try some MMORPG. It was best with WoW. Its great when you expect epicness behind every corner. When you have experience and know that every epic dungeon is just corridor made to test you equipment it stops being fun.

I once spent 20 minutes looking for the remote for my tv only to scratch my head and realise that I had been holding it the whole time.

You win. Note to self: stop telling people I am in the college of engineering.

I would say that most of the "fixes" I do involve me just google Device Name and Error. This still earns me the look.

Recently went from a game that I am awfully good at to Starcraft 2...my first RTS...ever...

Needless to say, the bottom of Bronze is not a very fun place to be.

Lots of gaming noobishness
1.) I couldn't start off playing Bayonetta on Medium. Had to go on Easy T-T
2.) I died more than 10 times on the FIRST AREA in God of War 2. On normal. I died more in that part more than the rest of the game. Effin Zeus didnt even kill me that much.
3.) I cant do anything right in Uncharted 2.

In normal noobishness... whenever I get back any test. almost all my answers that were wrong make me feel like i should be back in elementary school.

Luckily I got away with it as she introduced herself to someone else as well.
Good lord this happens to me more than I care to admit. I don't know why but this always happens to me unless it is a really common name or it is a name I am familiar with.

OT: The time I felt like a total noob is when I played Halo Reach with my younger brother on line. God I suck at that game.

FPS's. My god I am just so bad at them that I don't even get embarrassed anymore. People expect me to be useless if we're playing co-op.

I just had one. My mom is making homemade turkey soup (yessssss) and she took the soup, put it in a pot and then put it back in the original pot.
ME: That seemed kind of redundant.
MOM: I was straining it unless you want to eat turkey bones.
ME: >_>
