I didn't use it, because its a lot funnier to explore world yourself. I also never used it neither Fallout 3 nor Fallout nv. And of course will it use it in Skyrim(if it will had one).

I use it perhaps a little too much because to be honest I got tired of dismounting to fight bandits or daedra but when it come to Fallout 3, I walk everywhere because there is so much to see.

I use it all the time.

Mostly because by now I have found just about everything in Oblivion over my ten or so different playthroughs.

I actually get a little pissed off when I can't fast travel exactly where I need to go in these types of games.
I just finished Fallout 3's, and Broken Steel's, questline again and, on reflection, the worst part about the whole experience was opening my map and finding I couldn't fast travel AND the location was a good 10 minute (real-time) walk from the nearest point I could fast travel too.
It does make sense that you have to discover locations since you were in jail/a vault for some of/your whole life, but it's just so boring to me. I prefer to just wonder AFTER completing the main storyline.

Me.

I use it sometimes for the times I have to travel with/escort AI characters, but that's about it.

honestly, why would I spend about twenty minutes walking somewhere if a 20 second loading screen gets me to the same place?

After I hyper enchanted my gear so that it made me run faster than Ma'iq and shadowmere put together I used fast travel less. But mainly because I could literally run from Anvil to the imperial city in about a minutes with it on. God help you if I had taken skooma.
I wasn't aware you could have that kind of affect with magic - probably because I was too busy enchanting perfect invisibility or 100% damage reflection sets to experiment with attributes. Which skills or attributes were you enhancing, out of interest? By how much? I'd enjoy travelling in Oblivion far more if movement wasn't such a chore.

I run everywhere. You can run faster than most horses when you get your agility up enough and you don't have to dismount to fight. I also hop around a lot. Your stats go up quite quickly if you hop like a bunny everywhere. Just gotta be careful jumping when going downhill.

I don't. Half the appeal of the game is wandering around a vast pretty landscape full of stuff - why the hell would I want to skip it?

I fast traveled at all times once I had ridden the horse enough to get bored of the scenery.

The game world of Oblivion is so dull and uninteresting that NOT using the fast travel felt like drilling a hole in my skull with a corkscrew...

Honestly I thoroughly enjoy the exploration. BUT. there are times when yes, I utilize it if I'm not in the mood or feeling rushed, or if I've been there before.

Another thing I find almost galling is how many people complained about it existing. I felt that yeah it took away from the game a bit, but I just feel don't use it if you have issues with it.

If you feel the need to bring back the caravans or taxi lines, here's a little thing I did: only fast travel when at a horse paddock. You still fast travel only by "renting a horse" and it gives you to similar restrictions to the morrowind system.

Everybody's happy =]

with the abundant amount of quests and the amount of time i had to spend on that one game? no thanks, i'll fast travel every time. Granted i do enjoy the landscape the first time by far, but running back and forth every single damn time? nope, no thanks.

after getting a horse and finding that they handled like shit i decided to walk every where but after a while that gets really tedious with all the random encounters so i broke down and started using the damn fast travel. Seriously though i hate fast travel in oblivion since it ruins the immersion way more than a magic teleport spell would, though i did abuse it quite a lot since with alchemy and all the vendors out there to buy from i just kept traveling from town to town buying alchemy mats and making potions to sell giving me basically unlimited funds in almost no time.

I'm pretty sure it was a combination of the 'reduce burden' spell and simple 'increase speed' enchanting. I would get base forms of those spells and then go to the mages guild and make it the most powerful version possible, then enchant clothing/armor/jewelry and such.

100% chameleon was my favorite.

I used it, but it didn't feel right. Like I was being cheated. I really hope they bring back the Silt Striders from Morrowind for Skyrim. That way, it didn't break immersion, and you didn't have to travel over the same road every time you wanted to visit another city.

After playing Morrowind for quite some time, I realized how much I miss it. After playing it for a couple days, I convinced myself to stop just by reminding myself of how much of the game I spent walking from one place to another.
