That's surprisingly accurate given my current feelings regarding contemporary American politics. I've been pretty libertarian ever since I actually developed my own political opinions, and while I despise Obama, I find myself despising Romney at least as much, if not more (though for his position on civil rights issues - I actually agree with his economic positions slightly more than Obama's).

Huh, I'm more libertarian than I thought I was. This is actually kinda suprising. I thought I was going to be more right and in the blue. I think this would be surprising to most people I know.

On the other hand, I am hugely in favor of the death penalty for serious crimes. Some folks just aren't going to rehabilitate, no matter how much time, counseling, incarceration, etc is spent on them. When you get weeds in your garden, you don't carefully move them to their own little plot, where they receive more time and resources than the plants you ostensibly want to keep. You pull the weeds, throw them over your shoulder, and don't spare them another thought. The left likes to whine about compassion. I have loads of compassion. I just have it for the victims.

There's an issue with what you're saying. It costs more for us to use the death penalty on prisoners on death row than it costs to just keep them in prison, thanks to the many levels of appeals and so forth. But we can't cut down on our appeals process, because we already let innocent people be killed with the death penalty.

I agree that the victims should receive our compassion, not hardcore criminals that are not able to be rehabilitated. But the cost of killing innocents and the cost of money dictates that we cannot continue the death penalty.

Har Har. Incredibly sorry for that. I seem to be a bit more strongly opinionated towards the social side of the compass rather then the economic side.

In other news, if I would be an American citizen I sure would be glad to have such different president candidates to choose from in the upcoming election.

Like everyone else it classified me as left libertarian, which seems dubious to me since I'm heavily anti-libertarian and actually pretty authoritarian in some regards. I'd like to see which questions made you libertarian and which made you authoritarian.

I think I might provide atleast partially informative answer to this. You see, my score is

in line with everyone else reflective of my views as a person and not as a governing body. In contrast to what you might think my favorite version of goverment is according to my results (though the idea of Communism is nice, just not realistic), I acctually consider absolutist Monarchy the best way of governing (with enlightened ruler, obviously). If I should take example from history then the system of adoptive heir in ancient Rome is closest to my ideal goverment. Dictatorship also has some theoretical advantages over democracy, however dictators are rarely of the sort to utilise those advantages for the better of comunity.
In short: I think ones position on governing can and does change with from what position one looks on governing - the one who commands, the one who listenes, and possibly the one who influences the commanding one (advisors and such).

Does it mean the human race? I agree because well, you don't see crows creating a justice system now do you?

All authority should be questioned.

I kind of disagree. ALL authority? Like my boss telling me to get back to work? Or the security guard at my office building asking for my badge? Judicial authority should be questioned all the time, but questioning small stuff like being asked for ID is just heavy handed.

People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce.

I agreed with this. It just seems unfair to the child that it would have to live with it's parents disabilities. And a bit less so to tax payers that will probably have to support the child.

Multinational companies are unethically exploiting the plant genetic resources of developing countries.

I wrote a paper on how globalization impacts developing countries. If you just give a 10 second Google search to "average income in developing nations," sense the 50's it has been going nowhere but up. What has half the world in poverty 60 years ago is now like a sixth.

But plants? Don't we genetically modify them already? And doesn't it give us more food at a cheaper cost? Making it available to more people? Come on hippies this one's a no-brainer.

Oh yeah, mine looks like all of yours, just a little bit closer to authoritarian than most of you though.
