@Gyrobot is happy, hardcore SK fans are upset, and I couldn't give a shit. There are plenty of places fans can flock elsewhere. While upsetting, it's not the end of the freaking world.
Well I can see why Hardcore fans are upset. They feel in love with a brawling game about boobs. And the company (or powers that be) are trying to remove the boobie brawler that people love.
Why is Gyrobot happy about that?
SK, especially the earlier games, is way better-written and has deeper chars than it has any right having. I kinda lost interest around Estival because there was less char growth for the old cast and more just new members being constantly introduced, but the very first game on the 3DS was especially great.
It also uses the system's microphone in the most unique way possible. Once you beat the game you can blow on the mic in the dressing room and that will generate a wind that flips the char's skirt. It's hilarious.

I enjoy sexual content, but I also realize that over here the industry is eschewing general pandering sexual content to focusing on lgbtq+ or mass appeal. Depending on the dev, but certainly not dev over here is pandering with big tits and sexualized women.

Why does the fanbase have anything to do with your own personal enjoyment or interest over a series? Especially since you say "fanbase" here and not publisher or developer, I would understand if the creators were doing something you didn't like and thus you don't wanna support them. But you are only mentioning fans here, which have nothing to do with the product. So why let the fans turn you off to a thing that you could otherwise enjoy on your own time?

Vocal minority, big fucking deal. I usually don't quit a game or series because of some dumbass fans. I know plenty of people on the Devil May Cry forum that like SK or Neptunia, and they don't act like alt right douchebags. Hell, I've known plenty of customers at GameStop that like similar content like that and they're pretty chill.
The only time I can think of quitting a series because of the fandom is arguably Rick and morty. Though it was less the toxic fans, and me just sick and tired of Ricky boy's shit. most of the series has too much fun sucking the main characters dick and saying how awesome he is while shitting over other people not him. The letter half of season 4 tried to fix this and while it was awesome to a degree. The damage was already done by that point for me. That and I'm just sick and tired of shows where you're supposed to feel sympathy or root for the asshole. Say whatever you will about the SK gang, but they all actually have some form of depth and humanity and would never sink to the lows of Rick. Big tits or not, I'd rather be stuck in a room with them than Rick.

I don't get ponies at all but I definitely respect the fandom and I can see they have a ton of passion for this stuff. That was almost as good as the video where the pink one is going super saiyan and fighting some other ponies lol. Oh and the fighting game based on the franchise that they had to make about something else after Hasbro went after them is surprisingly good too.
I've played neptunia since MK2 (a good decade or so) and I never noticed anything about the particular fanbase because I never associated with any of them in the first place. The games are single player, the main series ones anyhow. I don't even know what the supposed issues with them are and definitely don't care enough to stop playing a game I am a fan of over it.
Neptunina is all about the industry and subculture references and jokes. Those can't be diminished no matter what the fans do.

I'm not really sure what you mean here. There are lots of different types of porn games, the Senran series is mainly focused on people who like big tits for sexual content. Plenty of players of the series just enjoy the characters too, such as my aforementioned friend who loves the series but as far as I know holds no lesbian interests. I mean I suppose you could make the argument that both genders should be portrayed in such an over the top way like Tera, but I think there aren't really any male characters in the series. Its just women right?

Is it about sucking Ricks dick? As far as I remember the show was pretty firmly on the stance of him being a profoundly unhappy person who could solve every issue in front of him besides himself and he kept spiraling deeper and deeper down that hole. I mean we have the scene where he amost tries to kill himself in the Unity episode, then we also have pickle Rick which is about him going to extreme lengths not to think about himself and his impact on his family and being told off hard by the psychiatrist. I never thought he was someone to aspire to be.
I haven't forgotten about those and still remember the. that still doesn't change the fact that there are certain episodes that bend over backwards to make Rick in the right or the smartest person in the room. Like that avengers "parody" episode for example. and the series crap on Morty too much. Yes he brings it on himself at times, there's other times where it was uncalled for. Though I still say Jerry got the worst up, until around the middle of season 4.
Like I said before, it's a combination of several factors. my main reasoning is I just don't like shows where the sociopaths of the main focus. It doesn't matter if they're supposed to be treated sympathetically or not. There's only so many times you can do that before it gets grading and boring and you're just doing the same crap over and over again. Especially when the protagonists in question are supposed to be the lighter shade of gray or black, depending on what show you're talking about. when really they are rarely ever better than the people they're fighting against.

The show did like to shit on Jerry a lot, but didn't it also show Jerry as being a much better influence on the family then Rick was? I'm not sure I would call that Avengers parody episode one that really elevates Rick. I mean he destroys the cohesion of their team and ends up killing them all off just to show that he can, not because they were bad, in fact I think it was shown they were a good thing for the galaxy and he killed them after setting death traps in a drunken bender just to show he could. It just fits into his personality of having the ability to do almost anything besides not be a piece of shit.
Oh, have you seen BoJack Horseman? I'm curious how you see a character like him who has similar flaws to Rick.
Still aware about Jerry, but still doesn't make it much better. That vindicators episode was so bad, that not even the creator likes it. That is why I put parody and quotations. It was a album nation of the avengers in the superhero genre in general . The episode acted like it had something important to say about the superhero genre, but really nothing ticked. Even though Rick screwed up, it was expected that nearly all the vindicators would be assholes and Rick was more or less right. Regardless of his jealousy or not. Nova ended up being a karma houdini (another reason why I hate that episode). Nothing changed, there was no growth, and nobody learned a damn thing. Fuck that episode.
He regretted it the week it aired. BoJack horseman I have zero interest in. I know that's he's better written compared to rick, but that's from other people's input. I got other shows to watch, so I am not making time for that.

Look at Netflix Castlevania's gay sex scene, or the countless confirmations of characters being confirmed LGBTQ by their creators. All while the alt right screeches about the news.
Thought Cabinet: Rigorous Self Critique sums up my feelings about being a fan of a series. It created a toxic fanbase and squandered away the goodwill of an industry to cater to a bunch of sorry people who indulge themselves in base desires while screeching at anything "woke". And the critics and their businesses will keep winning until they overcome the hurdle of using sex as a selling factor.

I still don't really understand, I mean it sounds like people are mainly speculating that the Senran discord is being influenced by China to take things out. But, till we get an announcement from them its anyones guess.
Was it a gay sex scene? I thought it was a 3 some, just with 2 guys one girl. Frankly I think people are generally more bi then most are comfortable admitting because of the social pressures and the religious right. I think part of the reason we are seeing as much of it now as we are is because before it forced to be so far in the closet that you would think lgbt people didn't even exist. So what is happening is an over correction of that and in time it will calm down, but I dont think it will really go away.
