I feel like I'm missing something here. I mean yeah lesbians are much more sexualized than gay men... or at least were before the internet decided that feminine bois crossdressing were hot as fuuuuck.
Is there much lesbianism in the Senran games? I have played a couple of them and I only recall two characters actually having interest in the other women like that and I think only one was actually a lesbian, then again, I'm not up on the epic plot of that series. Can't say anything about Neputnia, haven't played any of those.
I'm pretty sure Gyro is saying that it's bad that chars have different sexual orientation than the game. Because woke is bad

Katsuragi and the scythe girl from Yumi's school are the main lesbians there, and Yagyu has a puppycrush on Hibari but that's more cute and a running gag. Though they're definitely not any more sexualized than everyone else.
I'm all for Ikaruga and Yomi btw. Female Sephiroth (voiced by Kurisu from steins gate no less!) and female Guts maid. What not to love.
