I can solve one in about 2 minutes. Not sure what method it is exactly... A friend of mine that can solve one in 35 seconds taught me how to do it.

I just read the booklet that came with it and solved it that way.

... So yeah.

booklet?
Or whatever you want to call it. The little piece of paper that came with it. It tells you all the steps.

I can't do it, and I don't deem it important enough to learn how to do it.

I've had one for a couple of years, and I'm determined to finish it without looking up how. Or I was. Now I keep it with me as a symbol of all the things I've meant to do but haven't got round to...

How about doing something "jus cos"? You just make it out like if it isn't important then why do it and those who do do it are fools.

I never learned the strategy but some people in my class could get them figured out easily.

There is other things I would rather do ''jus cos''.

I don't mean to make it out like other people are fools who do it, infact I think it's pretty good if you can do it. I would just rather do other things.

If I had one I'd learn. Not as if I'm doing anything worthwhile most of the time I'm sat here.

I'll get around to giving it a go one day, but I'll just forget how to do it after about a month and the amount of times it would be useful is tiny.

I've never learned how to solve a Rubik's cube. It's impressive watching someone do it though.

It's a very good ice breaker, somebody always says "I used to take the stickers off".

Showing my age a bit here - I had a Rubik's Cube given to me back when they first came out. think I could solve the damn thing back then? Think I can now? Hell no. Best I could do was one side. I used to think I was a puzzle genius until that accursed cube gave me a wake-up call.

I can solve a 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4 and 5x5x5. With the latter two a lot of luck comes into it for me. Fanklok's picture on page 1 explains why exactly. I use the row method. I've heard the cubing method is faster but I just can't be ass'd to learn another one. My best time with a standard cube is 25 seconds from completely scrambled.

I tried to learn the mini cube method yesterday, I can extend it one way but the second time is when I get stuck. The thing is, you still need algorithms to solve it although they seemingly don't admit it.

i think i saw one of them smaller 12-sided ones in the same shop you told me to look for that huge ************ for. it's significantly cheaper with around 12 punds, but if i'm getting something, i go for all-out insanity^^
