-Borderlands 2.
-Gaige the Mechromancer.
-Anarchy.
-400 Stacks.
-Jacob's Shotgun.

With Blood Soaked Sheilds that build is like free falling in state of perpetual death where you can feel nothing but alive and the ferocious instinct to kill, kill quickly, kill consistently, and kill everything.
Death is the only life a Jacob's Shotgun knows.
Death is the only life Gaige knows.

Pretty self-explanatory, really.
Share the weapon you've had the most fun with or were most satisfied by in a game.

For me, it would probably be the 1887 from Far Cry 3. This thing made clearing out the village at the end of the drug burning mission easily one of the most satisfying thing's I've done in a game in a long, even surpassing Komodo Dragon hunting with the pump-action grenade launcher. While it's not particularly challenging to use, like the recurve bow, but when every trigger pull feels like it unleashes some sort of divine wrath upon your foes if so much as vaguely look at them, it doesn't really matter.

So, that's me. What about you?
For me it's a cross between C4 and the the stabbing skills in Far Cry 3 as I feel like such a badass when I run up to a bunch of pirates, lob a pack right into the fray turn around and set it off watching bodies fly past me.

As for the stabbing skills when you can them all you can become just as lethal as using guns if you have all the health bars+body armour+endorphin boost syringe you can run around the pirates stabbing one after the other while either pulling the pin and kicking them into their friends to watch them explode or throw knives into each and every one you stab and feel like a ninja.

Then there's also Skyrim with the call lightning shout where I feel as if I have brought nothing but destruction upon my foes as I sit there and watch them fry like bacon.

The Silverballers from Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution. Yes, improvised weapons are very entertaining, but there's nothing quite like sending hot lead flying into the face of the target, all with only a whisper.

The NV scope equipped M110 SASS in Arma 2 Wasteland never fails to be extremely satisfying to use.
Sure, it's no .50 cal, but there's still something to be said for how fun it is to shoot and the sheer lethality of the thing at night isn't something to be sniffed at.

Seriously, sitting in a treeline over an objective when it's pitch black, flicking the NV setting on the rifle's scope on, getting your zero right, watching your squad advance and waiting for a target to dare pop his head up.

Then next thing your squad hears, and the last thing the enemy hears:

Nearly finished with my first Dark Souls playthrough.

The thief's knife is loads of fun. Always loved fast, bladed weapons. Being able to get quick cuts in is great for a game like this, and the bleed damage is immense; extremely useful, and always satisfying to hear that gushing bleed trigger sound that makes you know you just fucked a sentinal's shit up.

Dark souls also has some of the most excellent backstab/reposte animations, and the knife is great for that.

I gotta say the most satisfiyng was a Torgue Rythmic Spitter (a Assault rifle with a Vladof Minigun barrel). Even without my Bee shield, its, in the words of Mr. Torgue, "F**KING AWESOME!"

The Baby Face's Blaster from Team Fortress 2. Ironically, not really for the weapon itself; when I use it, I tend to use my melee weapon more often...because the Blaster, fully-charged with damage, bumps the Scout's running speed up from "really fast" to "screaming blur."

If you wanted a weapon more for its weapon-y qualities, then the Darkburst from Metroid Prime 2. I don't even need to qualify it. It's a gun that shoots black holes.

I would go for the Ripper from Unreal Tournament

I'm not even sure why - I actually suck with using it, but, man, it's just so awesome. It's firing spinny disk of razory death, and if you use the alternative fire, the disks explode. So no, it's not shooting shurikens and lightning, it's shurikens and explosions!

Played through part of HL2 again recently. I definitely have to go with the OP gravity gun at the end of the game. Very, very satisfying taking out the Combine with that thing.

Overall i would have to say mass unleash of ICBM's in CivIII. When i'd finally had enough of everyones end game shit and just unleash 30 ICBM's on one turn. Ahhhhh the glory!! Fuck you UN. I'LL SAY IF I CAN LAUNCH THEM! .. oh i can't? oh .. bother... i dislike your UN CivIII.

But... dark soul's maces... 26seconds into this clip. Mace riposte.. something so satisfying about spikes to the face

The humble mace in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

It's just... The kersplort... It just feels so good. It helps that the weapons seem to have actual weight in that game, as well.

Been playing a lot of Warframe lately, and going invisible with the Loki warframe and then using charged attacks from your katana is AWESOME.

in far cry 3, The AK47 has really been doing it for me. unlike some of the guns (like the p416) it feels like it actually is doing some damage and just sounds better than the other guns.

I do love my Dark Knight's Halberd in Dark Souls. On a successful riposte it does about 1000+ damage. What's this, a dragon? Halberd to the face! Take it.

Does magic count as a "weapon?" If so, then Skyrim's Fire Rune (dual-cast). Lay that baby out, toss some Magelight nearby to get attention, and... well, "Like moths to a flame" seems apt.

If not, then I suppose I'd have to go with this bad-boy.

Practically guaranteed to make a bloody paste of anything that gets near you, and the alt-fire was a shrapnel-filled mortar of doom.

And yes, I realize the topic says "recently." I work retail, wiping the floor with UT99 bots is cathartic.

The Stalker Bolter in Space Marine. The way it cracks open ork skulls is very satisfying.

Next on my list is the Thunder hammer, then the power sword, the standard bolter. Well every weapon in that game is awesome.
