The Simpsons WERE funny. But I guess after 25 seasons (Damn, has it really been that long?), you can't blame them for running out of jokes. See, South Park's advantage is that it draws its strength directly from current news, like the WoW episode or the Tiger Woods one. It's current, it's fresh and it's so cynical. Family Guy is also crude and bold, compared to The Simpsons, and I guess it's more popular because that's the kind of humor people like now (I still remembered when The Simpsons were considered 'cartoons for grown-ups, where the most obscene thing ever was watching Homer and Marge literally sleeping together with no clothes on).
At this point, I would like to have a final The Simpsons season. The series is running low on fuel; might as well end it now before it ends up disgracing itself and while we all still have fond memories of it.
PS: Yeah, I also don't get the whole Assassin's Creed bit. From afar, I thought it said Assassin's Greed, and then I saw a hippie so I clicked. Then I clicked on the image and it said Assassin's Creed...just like the original game. So why not change the name? Hey, what made those other spoofs funny wasn't the context, but the fact that they changed the name because you could easily guess the original game. But uhh..yeah, that one just seems weird.
