"You Can't Always Get What You Want" By The Rolling Stones. But I want a live performance with a full boys choir, symphony, and whatever cyborg Mick Jagger has become by that point.

To Bid You Farewell by Opeth. Wouldn't doubt if they made it to be played at a funeral.

This, and dammit, you will feel sad whether you like it or not!

And then to confuse everyone:

Well, I think the last time a thread like this popped up, I chose something more of a "warrior's death" theme. Time to take the poet's road for this one. If you would Mr. Layne Staley and friends...

Either that, or this by the same band...

I would love "Another One Bites The Dust" - Queen, purely because it would be funny. There would be Bon Jovi (probably "It's My Life", for added comedic value AND it's my favourite song), but I'd want my coffin carried out to my all-time favourite song, Mad Season by Matchbox Twenty.

Then we'd have the rock concert.

I would like the song to be If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly.

damn thats a nice one. was thinking something from flogging molly, but then i decided nightwish kinda covered this better.

this is probably the best one

though i also think this is a very good one for a funeral, as it has a hopeful tone towards the end, like im dead, but its far from over, it has just begun.

i also like this one because it says yeah he/she is gone, but still lives on in us

sorry if the half-assed analysis sounds pretentious or just plain stupid, brit lit made me think deeply into the lines of every poem/song i ever see now. if i took the time, i could come up with something nicer, but this is just the fairly obvious overall meaning i gained from it, and i couldn't help but put it down.
