Presumably. It's a SOULS game by FS, so I wouldn't expect anything less otherwise.
I mean, Sony paid for Bloodborne exclusivity, and they haven't done anything with the ip since, despite there clearly being an audience for it, and From Soft being down for having another go, considering they're now doing a legally distinct version with a different patron. So honestly, joke's on Sony.
It's Bayonetta 2 all over again. Platinum went to Microsoft? They said no. Platinum eent to Sony? Sony said they will think about it. AKA, no. Those companies are the true
clowns.

Bloodborne is like my 2nd favorite game of the past... 15 years or so? But since I also have no interest in playing any more games like it, I am all for them doing whatever nonsense is the funniest.
I hope this Switch game is amazing and the Sony fans (are there even Sony fans left?) cry about it. I hope it's exactly like Bloodborne- but on a tiny screen lol.
Or I hope it sucks balls and a bunch of people buy a Switch 2 for it lol

Okay, I'd seen talk of Duskbloods being "Bloodborne 2" and just assumed that it was some similar-ish styled game from a different developer. Well imagine my shock when I find out that it's an actual Fromsoft game and basically is Bloodborne 2 run through the find and replace text function. And it's a switch 2 exclusive. What a world to live in, and what a game to sell a system with. This is a serious power play by Nintendo.
And it not being "true" Bloodborne canon doesn't actually hurt it one bit. The storytelling in Bloodborne is cryptic and obtuse even by Fromsoft standards, so Duskbloods only requires the faintest amount of squinting to imagine it being a story set in the same world, but a completely different place, hence the different terms and names. Basically what Dark Souls 2 was to Dark Souls 1.
One thing I'm not that keen on based on the trailer is how this seems to be another Elden Ring-style open world. After burning out with that game I'm now leaning way more into the opinion that the Fromsoft formula works better in a tighter, more compact format and smaller game world. Bloodborne especially, since that game was basically a descent into madness, and I doubt a fully traversable open world can really convey that same feeling as well. But we'll see

This is the worst timeline. I'd rather not have more Bloodborne than have it exclusive to the switch.

Well Sony had to waste all of their money trying to make more live service games instead of games people actually want.
Why sell Bloodborne 2 and make a ton of money when you can dream about having your own Destiny 2...which doesn't actually make money? I have no idea why companies keep thinking they want their own Destiny game. If Destiny was actually profitable Activision Blizzard would have never let Bungie walk away with it.
Quit being such a drama queen. Blame Sony for not acting on a sequel at all. Like I said before, it's Bayonetta 2 all over again. History repeats itself again, because Sony didn't want to do sequel to Demon Souls. Thus Dark Souls was born, and they're still kicking themselves in the head over it.
And there you go. Sony fucked up.

Sucks to be you and you can still cry to Sony and Microsoft. I am sure they will listen to your whiny plight. I regret nothing, and I still thank Nintendo for making Bayonetta 2 possible on Wii U and Switch. The same for Bayonetta 3, despite some of its flaws.
My personal reason for not wanting to play the game is that I have relegated big 3D action games for the couch+TV+controller gaming experience and the 2D old timey indy thing for the handheld. That's the only way I play each game. I know the point of the Switch is you can do both but I'm just not gonna plug my handheld into a TV when I have gaming PC for that. That's just me though.
But more importantly, I watched the trailer again and I realized that it's not Blooborne at all lol. FromSoftware + Big Ben /= BB. BB means you shoot muthafukkas in the chest WITH A FREAKING GUN when they're about to hit you so that you can eviscerate them with your nasty-ass sawblade. I didn't see none of that. I saw jet packs and dancing ladies.
Heck, it was more Lies of P than BB, and even though P was compared to BB we're now two steps removed from BB enough that it ain't that no more.
