I'm going to blow your minds by saying Minecraft. That's right, the game with no narrative. Or does it? On multiplayer servers, it does. especially on anarchy servers. Let me explain.

3 months ago, I went on an expedition to a very far land where we planned to make a "high point" base for all the higher ups on the server. sadly, after we cleared an area, most of the expedition left. I was left alone, but had a new idea. Why not make a town that would be a town collective point? as in, a meeting place for towns? to do this would be amazing, as I would be making a gov't in an anarchy server. So I got building.

and, after 2 months of building, this was the result (no guarantee the photo will be up)

http://imageshack.us/f/220/unledju.jpg/

for 1 month, I had at most 5 towns, totally to about 50 people, and most of the server's populace. However, a great cloud descended on the building. the server added factions, making my timeless work an unfortunate tragedy. I had a sad day today, as today was the official closing off of the Sanctum, what we christened the building. I'll miss it, but perhaps it is a phoenix that will rise among the ashes. Or perhaps it is a mere tombstone representing humanity's valor, a strive to accomplish, and ultimately never achieve. Physically, I did not cry, but my soul cries tears for this sorrowful, yet still momentous, day.
That... friggin' sucks. xD Kind of makes me think about picking up Minecraft though.

...nah.

Well, it's getting better. We have a new server set up, so we're making a mystery/treasure hunt that will make reference to a clone we'll make, to make it more mysterious. As for the Minecwaft, it depends on your play style. I like the slow atmospheric gameplay of anarchy server, as you can walk around the area near spawn and see old ruins. ofc, this doesn't suit everyone. In fact, I tried to get the server to get rid of factions, but we had so many people who needed factions that it would be too outrageous. I like the game as well, and feel that anarchy servers are more a human nature simulator then an actual game. idk, getting the game is up to you, but I feel the game would be cheap even if it was worth 60 dollars.

First time I played through Infamous as a villain I had to force myself to make all the "wrong" decisions. Then by the time the game ended, I felt disappointed and ashamed at myself.

Especially after what Trish says before she dies.

The ending of FFXIII really got to me. I'm not sure why, but it did. I think it was just the relief of finally being done with such a frustrating game.

The whole mark meltzer thing in Bioshock 2 affected me incredibly strongly, especially when you process his fate and the fact you've killed him.

Also as cliché as it was the scene in GOW2 where dom reunites with his wife, that made me cry if anything for how it was played out before he sees the reality of her condition.

Seems like those 2 are fairly common

Ah, that got me as well. Mainly because of how much I hated him and wanted to kill him, but at the same time I didn't want to because he was helping me out. In the end I did. He sure sniveled a lot. Jerkwad.

FFX/FFX-2 both made me pretty emotional and I got attached. Another game which got me emotionally attached (especially to Sora) is Kingdom Hearts... it might have been 'cartoon-y' but I was hooked on that game as a kid.

The original Infamous

{/spoiler} When John tells Cole to get some sleep and it fast forwards to morning showing us that Cole spent the night at Trish's grave. {/spoiler}

Truly hard hitting stuff.

Are you sure you're not thinking of sinclair, you never actually talk to meltzer and his story is told entirely through audio logs.

Really? Hmm... No I'm clear on Sinclair, I really liked him as a character. I was thinking of
the guy that flooded Dionysus Park and took Eleanor to the orphanage. Stanley Poole! That was his name. Mark Meltzer was the guy who went to Rapture to rescue his daughter, wasn't he? Yeah, I remember that as well... when you kill him as a Big Daddy and realize he did it just to be with his daughter... I felt terrible. Just adds to what I said in the original post. xD

Persona 4
When Nanako...
almost dies and you have no idea if she's going to be ok or not. :( I got real emotional because I was so used to coming back home and hearing her say "Big Bro!" And then suddenly, coming back and seeing an empty house was... sad :/

When Agro sacrificed herself to save the wanderer and fell from the bridge. I actually yelled, "NO!" when it happened. She doesn't actually die, but I didn't know that until the end. It still really bummed me out.

there was a part in i think the first xenosaga, where commander cherenkov was getting something to drink, and had some kind of attack and dropped it. to this day i'm still not sure why that scene affected me way more than it should have.

Sad: When I romanced Alistair in DA:O and he left me behind to kill the Archdemon. I immediately went "NOOOOOOOO!" cried and re did it so my character would die.

Extremely Conflicted: Choosing between Kaidan and Ashley. Most painful decision ever.

Supremely Angry: In Bully, I've never been so excited to kill someone since Bioshock than when the game gave me an option of beating Gary into the ground. Shame it didn't last longer.

: In Bioshock, when Adam turned on me. Spent the rest of the game in a "MUST KILL FONTAINE" haze. I don't like betrayals. At All.

Extremely Happy: The good ending in Bioshock. It was just a center of warm love and happiness. God, even now it brings a tear to my eyes.

Captcha: illmays AGAINST

Another group to dislike on facebook, Captcha? Can I do that?

Ugh, I felt terrible after that. I reloaded a previous save and ..
talked him into sleeping with Morrigan. o_o;;
