Hey guys, I just have a question, if you go to activate a steam key to a product you already own, does it mean the key is now useless or can it still be used by someone else?

I once got Metro 2033 from Humble Bundle and forgot about it. I later tried to activate a copy I got from a giveaway on facebook and I got the error telling me that I already have the game. I gave that same key to a friend later and it worked.

So I can confirm that if you already own the product, the key stays valid.

Second confirmation on this. I get so many leftover keys that I often forget what I own. tried to use one of the spare ones I had, and it told me I had it. I then gave it to a friend, and they used it just fine.

You're the first, check your inbox. Absolutely start with ZC1, the second one picks up right where the first one ends. There's some quirks and things (small team, new ideas) but both games are probably the coolest that punching and fighting in the first person has ever been, and the story and world are just wacked the the fuck out.
