Which site or individual has your favourite and most reliable reviews?

That's of course based on what you interpret as an accurate or unbiased review. Some might say Yahtzee and angry video game nerd because they just attack all games and only praise the few, others might call them haters or rampant bashers.

What about Classic Game Room on Youtube, do you like Mark or prefer some of the other Undertow reviewers? Or do you think Mark is too immature.

Maybe you like IGN reviews, Gametrailers or gamespot.

Or do you just go straight to Metacritic to get an all round perspective and don't really like any in particular.

Whatever it is, lets hear it, your most favourite and least favourite reviewers and where they are from.

Has to be Yahtzee here on the Escapist. His rapier wit and impressive lung capacity usually have me in stitches by the 2:00 minute mark on most videos. This is in spite that he mostly seems to hate most of the games he reviews. Even gave some of my favorites grief(Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect), but he's just too damn funny.

My most favourite? Adam Sessler, his reviews are for the most aprt intelligent, in depth and predominantly free of hyperbole.
Least favourite, the people who review for IGN and Gamespot- always just so much blathering with no real detail and they gloss over big flaws in the game.

hmmmmm difficult one that. I've always liked the escapist's own John Funk... hmmmm it really hard to say.

Jeff Gerstmann Gets a lot of respect from me because of the way he got dicked over by gamespot then made his own site just to say, "fuck you"

I've never found a person who I can trust with reviews... to find someone who has played all the games I'm interested in AND shares my taste seems damn impossible, and I can't go with one particular site because it's filled with different people with different tastes and perspectives.

So, I usually end up on Metacritic and then using that to link to a bunch of different reviews. I usually check out IGN (but I keep in mind they put too much emphasis on graphics) and I've stopped going to Gamespot after they gave Monster Hunter Freedom Unite a freaking 6.5

EDIT: As for Yahtzee, I don't really watch his show for a review. He hates on games I love and hates on games I hate. He's a humorous critic, not a reviewer. I did really like his top 5 best and worst games review, though... I somewhat share his taste in games, he just isn't always clear about it.

I've watched a lot of video reviews over the years and I feel like Yahtzee is the best. Despite being more of a comedy show than a serious review show, Yahtzee's critiques are always true, and whenever I want to once over a game before buying it, I go over to wikipedia and look at the aggregate score, then I weigh it over the Zero Puncuation review of it.

I like watching the GameTrailers reviews because they're reviews, gameplay trailers and plot summaries all in one
Other than that I don't have a favourite reviewer, except for Rock Sound magazine, the best music mag in the world

I like the Escapist's reviews and commentary a lot, and I'm also a fairly devout fan the crew over at That Guy With The Glasses (Nostalgia Critic, The Spoony One, etc).

I have a few favorites.

Yahtzee, because he doesn't really "review" the games but acts really like a critic. Of course his views are often exaggerated for the sake of comedy, but in the end you have a good picture of the game and you can be sure that when Yahtzee says it's OK, it really means it's a very good game.
CGR is...I don't know. I like Mark's reviews because of the rather unconventional style, but he tends to be rather immature and, where Yahtzee is sometimes overly critical to get some laughs, Mark is often not critical enough.
Kwing (or Knightwing) from YT is also pretty good, but he reviews mostly Retro-stuff. But these reviews are very in-depth and informative.
And last but not least: Angry Joe. There might be people who don't watch his show, but know him from TGWTG-Crossovers and maybe think he's a bit obnoxious and over-the-top, but I think he's a really good game critic. First of all, he tells you what he thinks. His verdict is always his personal opinion and not some obscure number born from strange statistics like "Story: 8.5 Graphics: 6.7 Gameplay: 3.1415926". Also, because of that, his verdicts are understandable and logical. I've often seen reviews where games with a score of 6/10 are treated like shit, even tough 60% should mean "above average". With Joe that's the case.

I love Yatzhee and would a show called "Good Game" count with Bajo and Hex? Might sound a little lame but i like it and i like their reviews....they are kinda funny too.
but i only look at those and some of IGN's reviews, i just keep watching the ones i like, i don't really know any other reviwers to hate.

Most entertaining revier is without a doubt Yahtzee, but whilst I take his views into consideration, it depends on the game, if its a stealth or horror based game then i'll listen to him alot more than if its a RTS or JRPG which he almost doesn't like by defualt. The main reviewer I listen to is gamesweasel, as i've found my views on certain games are similar to there's.

It would have to be Yahtzee. He's the own reviewer whose name I actually bothered to remember.

He's just brutally honest.

The only reviewer I really care about is me. When it comes to forking out major dollar for a game I will only care about what I think. If I make a bad decision then lesson learned. 9/10 I pick a game that's juuust right for me.

I'd have to say Tycho from Penny Arcade, even if he's not an 'official reviewer'. Honestly...I just find myself agreeing with almost all of his opinions on any of the games he plays through. And even with the things he's a fan of, he's not afraid to add his own second thoughts and doubts to some of the concepts he just doesn't see working for them.

Yahtzee is second though.

MovieBob, MovieBob and MovieBob. He's the most thoughtful critic, indeed one of the most thoughtful personalities I've ever encountered. I don't always agree with him - I find Roland Emmerich films hard to stomach and I would've appreciated some actual depth in Sucker Punch. But he's sufficiently aware of his own fanboyism to not simply swoon when Christopher Nolan walks into the room. HE'S ACTUALLY HUMBLE, yet makes no apologies for being an intellectual and wanting more than jigglin' titties and poorly animated explosions.

on The Escapist, probably Moviebob. Overall? I think I'm gonna say The Spoony One.

I don't watch reviews to know if I want a game or not (for that I use Let's play), I watch reviews to watch games getting bashed and watch all the fanboys crying so yes yahtzee is my favourite, I liked Angry Joe Show but is jokes weren't that great and he wasted time adding stupid things to the "reviews".
