I have nearly 1,500 games here (legit copies) from the Atari VCS to the 360, so it hardly happens to me, but when it does, I break out a few board games and play those for a while and then I'm back in the mood for some video games.

Trying to find a FPS better than cod4. I'm getting tired of it, but can't find any other shooter as good. It has some irritating problems, but every other FPS i've tried so far seem to have far worse issues.

Also, i'm stuck on Ninja Gaiden 2.
Have you tried Team Fortress 2?
Left 4 Dead (orginal or 2)
Bad company 2 is a realistic shooter, with destructible (almost) everything.

Of all those I play TF2 the most. If you find a server with a good player base it's simply awesome.

i get like that fairly often. i see no point in playing any of my games, and i start to crave a genre i haven't played in a while or a game i havent played yet.

most recently, I wanted to play mass effect, so i went out and bought 1 and 2

I'm also wanting a good jrpg to play, but i dont know what to get and i want to wait until i finish mass effect 2.

I get that alot. I just sit there and stare at my game stacks, trying to decide what I'm in the mood for playing. It takes about an hour for me to either slink back to WoW or close my eyes and just pick a damn game and play it. Right now, I've narrowed it down to seeing if I can get 100% on Okami, or see how fast I can beat Shadow of the Colossus again. <:

Considering TF2, have heard a lot of good about it.
I've got L4D2, and am considering getting the first aswell.
Not really a fan of bad company 2. I've played it a fair bit at a friends house, wasn't that impressed.

I've been having a bit of a slump lately. Pretty much since ME2 I've realized most games can't hold me for very long. I keep getting things from gamefly, playing for a couple hours at most, let it sit there a week then send it back. This lapsed for about a week while I played the crap out of Alpha Protocol, then I sunk back in.

However, my friend bought me a copy of planescape: torment for helping him move (what a great form of payment!), and this fired up my desire to play the Baldur's Gate series again. So now I'm going through those again with some new mods (holy crap there are so many mods), and then I'll go back to planescape to enjoy that again.

So I guess it's all about what you've got to play.

In all the games I have an interest in playing, I'm stuck at the end. Multi-stage bosses on hard mode suck.

This is why I always keep my game library to the following:

One Single Player title(currently Dragon Age: Awakening with Alan Wake in queue)
One Multi Player title (currently Red Dead Redemption with Crackdown 2 in queue)

At least one Multi Player 'classic' with strong community support (currently Left 4 Dead 2)

If I haven't played a game in 2 months, it hits the trade-in bin. Actually, I have about 4 that are ready to be traded in now... just waiting for Crackdown 2 to be released.

This greatly simplifies things for me. If people are online playing either MP game, I throw that in, if no one's on, I throw in the SP.
