why are they not being sued for false advertising? seems like a pretty clear case of straight up lieing to every one
For some bizarre reason gaming seems to be exempt from basic consumer rights. Something to do with being "entitled" if you expect to get what you were promised from the people selling the game to you.

When WarZ was released in October the cap was 30. Then it went to 50. Then it went to 70. That when the foundation release hit and it split the Servers into 50 and 100. I have posted the video of me playing on the 100 man servers right after the foundation release came out, there not much more I can do to prove you wrong.

Well actually, if you read this interview, that was linked here already:

you can see that Mr. Titov said:

Sergey Titov said:
Max players -- I'm not sure why this is even an issue. [The] text clearly stated "up to 100 players." And 50 players [which] we have right now -- is what our players -- our community feels is comfortable level for them to play. We had it at 40, we've raised it to 70, and after that we've asked our players, "What you want this number to be for Colorado map?" Over 90,000 players took [the] survey and most of them said -- 50. This is why this number is set to 50 right now.
so what was stated on the steampage clearly was a lie. Also all that skill tree stuff etc.

It has to be said though that they patched it and now made some 100-slot server available. Was still a lie in the beginning.

no excuse for letting company's get away with lieing and theft

least the game was yanked off steam and people are getting refunds, still doesn't make it ok though.

i was never gonna get the game and it irks me -.-

You should see the other projects this guy has been involved in. He's the king of terrible, unfinished products.

"Sergey Titov The Producer/Programmer for Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing."
I thought that was Bethesda, yet they still some how have so many fanbois defending them... weird huh?
Zing!

Wait, that isn't zing-worthy? That's actually lame?

Yeah, it's lame.

Okay, then.

BakedZnake, there's such a thing as people having different tastes. Some people will inexplicably like The War Z, others apparently like Bethesda's output (I do), and others don't.

That's all. No need to get snarky and vaguely insulting over it.

It may be as high as 100 players, or will be at some point. It is currently 50 players.

What's the contradiction here?

WarZ is really tragic game
I was hoping for it.
It could be great game, instead...
Listen guys that title was definitely still in progress
All these features would most probably come in next few months (bigger maps, skills, higher player cap, etc.)
If only they marked it as Beta and gave discount for people who bought it
(worked gloriously for Minecraft)
I'm sad now :(
Day Z standalone.

It's being made by the actual modders who made Day Z, in conjunction with the publisher who made Arma II the game it's a mod for, and it's being released in the same way: Cheap alpha, then beta with price increase, then full with full price.

Main problem here is that WarZ fiasco can have negative impact on DayZ (most probably will)
But if there can only be one, then I'd prefer DayZ
