Eiken. Dear God, Freud would have a field day with all of that fanservice...

Eiken is relatively tame compared to two more recent FULL series, Seikon no Qwasar and Manyuu Hikencho. The former has actually had two seasons, while the other just started this season, but they're both fanservice anime with the guise of some of the STRANGEST stories I've ever heard.

But as far as non-fanservice anime go, my bet would have to either be Panty & Stocking, Evangelion, or Toriko. FLCL doesn't count in my book because A. it's only 6 episodes long, and B. it's been said to death how it was basically a for-fun, minimal-dedication project within Gainax.

FLCL, Dead Leaves, Magical Shoping Arcade Abenibashi...I've seen more but these are the ones that come to mind when someone says name some weird anime. Despite the fact that they're strange, I do like them. Fooly Cooly is probably in my top ten.

Akira, because it was my first taste of anime, and it totally confused the hell out of me. I still love it, and still list it in my top 10 greatest movies of all time, but it was confusing as hell to start watching anime with that movie.
There was another one SciFi had run (back when SciFi was the only place I ever saw Anime) Robot Carnival I think... can't remember it very well but it was hella confusing.

Haven't read through whole thread yet but I will mention Dead Leaves as the most WTF anime I've seen I've seen Furi Kuri, puella magi Madoka magica, excel saga, and puni puni poemi. Seriously I watched 20 mintutes of that and just couldn't watch anymore my brain was just tired watching it, and to be honest it was a bit gross for no reason, nothing like human centipede but I felt a bit weirded out by it... (o_0) kinda like how you have a strong stomach for most things until a 65-something year old hairy tranny (transvestite) flashes you.

Definitely FLCL. I've only seen about 4 or 5 other shows, and I thought this was pretty weird. But damn was it awesome.

Cowboy Bebop can be weird at some points (especially with Ed and Ein), but it's more cool and stylish than weird. Just throwing that out there.

Well I've seen a few episodes of Bobobobobobobo. That seems like a very weird anime.

Oh, Jesus Holy Christ. It HAS to be this one over all others. Bobobo is proof that drugs can be transmitted via light-waves into the brain. I mean, with only a sort-of parody-plot to Fist of the North Star, the show is completely all directions of flipping random at once. I have seen ALL of the episodes and now I use Nabeshin to talk me DOWN from lunacy.

My vote is for Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

An anime where someone who crushes tofu in his hand, and another person eat it and yells, epically "THE ISN'T TOFU IT'S COTTAGE CHEESE! HE HAS TO POWER TO TURN TOFU INTO COTTAGE CHEESE!"
has to be the weirdest.

thank you lol i am gonna watch a lot of these and i just watch the trailer for Pani Poni Dash lol and from the negima people OMG oh and mine has to be when i walked into my little bros room and i though he was watching porn because the screen said "and that's how i was able to prevent prolonged anal masturbation" it was a girl and here was my face O____O oh and if any one knows the name of that one pleze tell me i want to know because those are the amazing anime moments ^_^ i have also seen HOTD lucky star, negima, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan and more i cant remember i started with Naruto but i have moved on to better things now i have been rambling way to long
