There are those wonderful developers that take the time to make lovely games for you, of course they want you to pay for the game, after all, it took them a while and a half to make it and plenty of effort, but out of all the developers you know, which developers would you say are most evil and which is THE MOST EVIL of the most evil developers?

Evilness examples can consist of:

*Repeating the same game or series to make lots of monies
*Teasing fans with news of a game they have waited for for like ages and shit only to burst their bubble with a 'nah, never mind'
*Not delivering what was promised
*Hype to the extreme (sometimes / always never delivering the hype)
*Unnecessary DLC
*Unnecessary sequels to what could have been DLC
*Casuals are better then hardcores (Oops, did we say that out loud?)
*Broken games
*Obnoxious / arrogant developers (People will buy our game because it is amazing)
*Clearly lazy development
*Cheapest alternative for more gain
*Ruining games that were literally epic with lame sequels
*BUGS!
*Convoluted non-functioning DRM
*All of the above

You forgot convoluted non-functioning DRM in your list. I'll come back once I've made my decision on the MOST evil "publisher."

I have a feeling by the end of this most people are gonna be saying EA.

I'm gonna say Capcom just for breaking my heart. The worst part is, they did it by making a fairly smart business decision.

I know Ace Attorney Investigations was not the highest selling game in the world. I know the sequel was probably gonna sell even less. I know as far as Capcom was concerned the DS was a dying system...

But still, by not releasing Ace Attorney Investigations 2, even knowing the franchise has a loyal fanbase...broke my heart.

Developer? If it was publisher, I'd say EA.

No Game Devs are evil innately. Some are just idiots.

Yeah, this. Devs usually aren't the ones to implement shitty DRM or rehash old concepts to make a quick buck. Most of the time, it's the publishers who decide on these issues.

Too bad publishers are the ones with money.

I can't think of any actually evil developers. Crazy, stupid, useless, etc - yes, but actually evil...not really. I'm struggling here, by the way. Dunno, maybe Square Enix for that "not re-releasing the Final Fantasy lots of people want" or whatever it was. I'm not really a FF player or very knowledgeable, either - I remember seeing enough people still mention this, though. Other than that I really can't think of anybody else. OK, ma-a-aybe Blizzard depending on how you interpret them. I'm not really going to call them evil, though, but it is a possibility.

Blizzard probably leech the most money over time, and WoW is more addictive than smack, but for me it'd probably be 3D realms for taking over a decade to release a pretty average game in Duke Nukem forever.

Also Konami for murdering MGS, but that's a personal gripe.

Well, most of the things you list are usually the fault of the publishers, rather than the developers, but never mind. If I had to choose I'd say Blizzard or Valve.

Atari.
Mainly for TestDriveUnlimited2...

Buggy release, random crashes, slowdowns.
Server issues, making it pointless to even try playing.
Giving crappy reward cars that you can't sell, filling your garages with shit.
DRM and server issues, meaning you couldn't play offline on the same profile, 2 weeks after release before there was any point playing.
Their non-materialising DLC that was supposed to be free to apologize for all the above.
General douchebaggery that was TDU2.
PS3 steering wheel support is a joke.

I liked the first game, and I quite like TDU2 now that I can play it. It's a good game for people who are sick of track based racers, and would rather explore, and do challenges, as well as a good variety of races.

I really don't understand why everyone hates Ubisoft. They've made some of the best games I've ever played, in my opinion at least. But I haven't played a lot of their games, so that might be the reason... But the most evil? I would say Blizzard. Because the amount of hours people have lost to WoW, could have been used to cure cancer, or something productive like that.

Oh that's easy. Ubisoft. Not only do they have the shittiest DRM they also ruined all their good games. If Gearbox actually go through with that Furious Five shit they may take the title.

Bethesda because they trick you into buying legitimately good games then make you want to buy the amazing dlc and no one can stop because its too good. THEY MUST BE STOPPED!

My serious answer is Capcom with all the stupid business practices I've come to expect in their games such as on disc dlc and updates that make your game obsolete after 5 months also don't forget the glitchy mess Street Fighter X Tekken.

a lot of things you attribute to malevolence can be far more easily explained with incompetance.

other than that, yeah, I'm jumping on the Capcom bandwagon.
