Bioware...yeah you know...
(No seriously, then they bring up f***ing entitlement issues and creative integrity and that sort of s***, that's the main thing that gets them my vote)
(Although I realise most of them didn't make that decision, just the bag of dicks in charge)
Actually no, I give my vote to FROM Software. Because a little-known game that I adore, Armored Core V, has been rendered practically unplayable outside of Japan because they region-locked the discs for some stupid reason. The persistent territory system requires a large amount of players to enable teams to defend their territories. Japan is the only region with a high enough playerbase to make it work. Everywhere else, boosting is rife (a team organises a subset of itself to intentionally lose), and I've waited literally for hours to even get a Free Battle, let alone a Ranked one. I wouldn't be underestimating in saying that less than 50 people (that's being generous from what I've seen) actively play in the EU region (which Australia is part of). It's like they took their pitiful loyal playerbase and put it through a shredder.
...then put most of the shreds in the same bin...or something.
