I don't believe in time, man made invention.

Thinking of the time it takes for shit to happen destroys some of our theories, such as the big bang, it took a split second for nothing to become everything?, doubtful, if thats the case, it should be called "the POOF, there it was" theory.

"At first there was nothing... and then POOF! THERE IT WAS!"
The POOF! THERE IT WAS! theory? Sounds like something the Pastafarian's would come up with.

(FSM FTW)
hence I quoted it.

So are you looking forward to the 19th of September.

Red Shift is proof the universe is expanding and from a Physicist's perspective the universe is infinite, as it is expanding ever outwards into not nothing, but instead it is expanding into time if we are going with the proven Big Bang Theory.

It is rather melty to think about, isn't it?

Its a International Holiday, International Talk Like A Pirate Day!, followers of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and his noodly appendages all celebrate "ITLAPD"!, You must spend the whole day talking like a pirate.

Did I really need to explain it?, much like Aliens, the main point is in the title.

Edit: You wasn't Ninja'd, you got Pirated, Your ship the SS inquiry was duly boarded by my rowboat of answer, tonight your in the brig!, and tomorrow we set sail for more comments!

I believe in the Big Bang Theory. God decided one day he was bored, so BANG, he created the TV network known to us as our universe.

I don't have the answers, so I won't waste my time on wild, and old, speculation.

The only thing we know about space is that it is ever-expanding. We don't know it's origins, what's outside of it (if anything), or if there is other life out there. Heck, for all we know Men in Black got it right and we're encased in a marble in a much much much larger universe than ours.

I saw someone say something about the universe was made.

I think it's something to do with black holes.

I think the universe is basically a big massive cling film kind of thing, with the cling film representing gravity. When a large object sits on this cling film, it creates a dip which will cause smaller objects to fall into the dip and eventually orbit around the dip it has created (ie. the solar system is a bunch of planets caught in the dip caused by the Sun)
Black holes are MASSIVE dips in gravity that, basically, nothing can escape from because its so deep. I reckon the stars, planets and whatnot began inside a black hole in a "universe" which was literally just an empty space. The amount of gravity in a black hole could, theoretically, pack things together into tinytinytiny objects. If it was all inside a black hole, it may have been compressed but then for whatever reason, it exploded, forcing itself out of the black hole, which would explain the universe expanding because in space there is no friction or air resistance so, according to Newton's law, it will continue to expand. This tiny thing exploding would create something potentially as big as the universe because there would be an immense amount of pressure released. Sort of like taking a foam ball and with all your strength, squishing it inside your fist. You can compress it to much smaller than its original size and when you quickly release all the pressure, it jumps out and expands.

I think I sort of strayed from my original point.
let me know if that makes no sense.

I believe Matter and Time exist as two separate theoretical entities. Matter as we know it, is just Stuff. Its what makes up this universe. I believe the Universe is INfinite due to the idea that Time exists away from the constriction of matter. I believe that there has been some sort of matter there all along shaped in what ever shape so kept it happy. The time though. The time started when man needed to chronicle his order of goings on. While that mass of skin and bone might of not always been there I believe somethings have. What ever is outside of our grasp of the universe we occupy is what Might have been there all along. It might sound a little Sci-Fi to make the Multiverse assumption but it supports my theory. While all of the different universes might not have all at the same time existed, or been filled with the same thing, I believe the ones outside of ours very well may be Infinite. However wouldnt this suggest that there must only be a finite amount of universes? No, because If my theory would to be supported then there is infinite mass in existence. We only occupy a fraction of it.

I think at the beginning there was nothing. Then, a whole lot longer in time, there was moses who created the theory of god creating the universe. So therefore God came into existance and made the Heavens and the earth by creating the big bang [but from the state of Kansas all this appeared to have happened in 7 days]. And then God was like "Sweeet..." and then he rested even though he had an entire universe to look after, but he knew all so it didn't matter and could do it in his sleep anyways, which just makes one big paradox which will keep you intrested and not even realize I stopped my theorie right here.
What a bunch of rubbish. I totally lol'd xP. Especially the ending =P.

OT: I don't have any theories on the beginning of the universe, and frankly, it is pointless unless you have an academic perspective. I genuinely believe God kick-started it all, and then just watches it unfold, so to speak.

I have researched a little here, and there, about the beginning and ending of the universe, but my knowledge is limited to my pathetic waste of tissue of a brain.

uh uh! Or it began with a galaxy warlord named Xenu! Who enslaved everyone! Haha!
..
What? It's taken? Oh snap = /.
basically it sort of his for laughs because usally when I go on forums is because internet gaming is starting to bor me, except I really do believe that god created the big bang, but as how god got created i have no clue so I just decided to go back to good old factual Genesis, when have you not proved us wrong? (<---- SARCASM!!)

I'm not sure if this fits into this, but I have a theort on dreams. or well, a hypothesis, really. (Theories are tested).

Our waking world, the one you are in right now reading this post in, is the dream of our unconscious dream-self. Has anyone ever had a precpgnitive dream? It's like Deja-Vu when you get it, but you realsie you saw this in a dream. Now, our dreamland minds, being the vast, limitless things of creation they are, being so alien to this world rationality would surely drive us mad. So, without nullifying the dream-world pastiche, our conscious minds paste waking world images over the weird dream ones, so that any glimpses of the dream-world are okay to veiw. The same goes for the dreamland. I have seen tisted versions of familiar locals in my dreams (or what would seem like familiar locales) and I have visited the same place in different dreams, days, weeks or even months apart, yet I do somethig different there all the time. This forms one of my ideas of an alternate dreamworld or unconscious landscape of our mind. As for death, the dreamworld being the opposite of our rationality driven reality, when our waking wold sleves die, all consciousness goes to the dreamland, or mind landscape.

I know this must seem like a pretty far out concept, but do keep in mind before you slander me, the names dreamland and so on are just monikers, things I have used to describe what I mean, not necessarily a literal dreamland.
