Hmm...actually, he's got a point.

If either of my parents walked into my room while I was playing and took the keyboard(I wouldn't touch a console controller with a 10ft stick) from me, I'd freak the fuck out.

I imagine it would go something like this:

*Parent walks into the room
*Parent removes keyboard from my hand
Me:"How the FUCK did you get into my apartment?!"
Parent:"I want you to stop playing that game."
Me:"What the FUCK is going on here?! Am I being punked?! Seriously though, how the hell did you even get into the building?"

If, on the other hand, gaming IS like coke, that'd mean I spent a LOT more money to get high these past few years than I had to...

Taking anything out of people's hands is an annoyance. You're probably trying to use whatever's in your hands and people invading your personal space to take what you were attempting to use would be very upsetting. Even if you just snatched, say, a set of keys someone was holding. It would still piss them off. It's rude to do something like that of course people would freak out.

Clearly, the proper reaction to someone interrupting you in the middle of a process is a polite, inquiring smile.

This applies to:

video games
reading
cooking
coitus
giving birth
sleeping
defecating
urinating
suicide
homicide
...etc.

Fact is, like my homeboy Charlie Sheen says, some people can handle drugs socially. Just like the majority of us can handle gaming with out problems.

The thing is, everything in life to the excess is a poison. Playing to much video games will kill you, just look at the Eastern Culture where guys die after marathon gaming secessions.

Most of us won't choose to play games when there is real work that *must* be done or sleep to be had. But the week willed need something to blame other then themselves. *just Sayin*

Also, if you split up the word 'therapist', you get 'the rapist'.
and if you split up "psychotherapist" you get "psycho the rapist".

*sigh... It's people like these who are the real "silent killers of our generation."
[sub] Well I guess technically they aren't silent. If they were, then they wouldn't really be a problem. [/sub]

I like the part where he uses words like endorphin, but has clearly never taken even high school biology.

Go up to someone who is doing a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle and knock it on the floor. They will respond as if you were erasing hours of progress while rudely and unnecessarily breaking their immersion in an activity they greatly enjoyed, but you could also say that they responded like an alcoholic, so let's go with that one.

Games tought me english.
Games made me connect with people abroad.
Games gave me new ways to think about life, ourselves and the universe.
Games entertains me.
Games inspire me.

Does he seriously think Cocaine could do the same?

Backlash, backlash, counterpoint, counterpoint, rebuttal, objection, blah, blah, blah.
Ignore the nonsense and the nonsense will go away.

Guy looks like a pretentious twat.

Also, I wonder if it would be possible to sue the guy for the literal shit he's talking about gamers? Comparing us to drug addicts, with NO evidence whatsoever?
