I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think I get an addicting high from standing on the roof of a shop.Andy Chalk said:"Spending two hours on a game station is equivalent to taking a line of cocaine in the high it produces in the brain,"
I have a problem with just stopping the game, usually because the person asking me to do something doesn't appreciate that I've invested the past 25 mins into a multiplayer game, there's five minutes to go, and if I just turn the console off all the progress I've made in the past 25 mins are lost.Stevepinto3 said:I've never had a problem to just get up and stop gaming if there is something that needs to be done. Not when I lived with my parents and not now that I'm independent. Ok, maybe when I was 15, but to be fair getting a 15 year old to do anything is pretty tough.

If you go up to someone and steal a book they are reading or a TV remote when they are going to watch a program they want to watch, they will likely act in a similar fashion. Therefore it's an addiction? I'm sorry, but he may be confusing hobby and addiction.Andy Chalk said:To make his point, he suggested that parents listening to the program "go upstairs to your kid's bedroom and try and take the game station controller out of their hands." They will react "in the same way as an alcoholic would if you tried to take their booze.
phineas gage. dude was working on a mine, gasket blew and a steel shaft drove through his brain and he lived. why? cuz it went in just the right spot through his skull to let him live. how do we know? psychology bitchesEldarion said:It being popular does not make it a valid field of medicine. We know so little about how the human mind works that psychology is still 90% bullshit and guesswork.mega48man said:weeeeell, i'd retract that statement if i were you. psychology is pretty popular, i'm taking a class on it. it's very interesting and answers a lot of medical mysteries. instead, think about what he says about staying up effecting chemical imbalance and compare that to who many teenagers in this country stay up late......interesting, no? it's not just us gamers who stay up late, it's everyone. it's what teenagers do, we stay up late. he's using psychology like a blind trained rifleman shooting his gun off. he knows what he's talking about, but he isn't applying what he knows properly.Eldarion said:When psychology is a respectable field I'll start to care about what this idiot thinks.

It's the most addictive game ever, and it will cause your face to melt off and you to die. But none of that matters, because he's winning at it.Bags159 said:Charlie Sheen.The_root_of_all_evil said:I'm just wondering how you grind the games up into powder.
