There are now 649 Pokemon.

Some of them look cool, some of them look awesome, some of them look like clones of the old ones, some of them look adorable, some of them look absolutely retarded.

In other words, this is just like every other generation of Pokemon. Which is what I was expecting. However, looking through that list I noticed that none of them appear to be prevolutions or evolutions of old Pokemon. If that is actually true, then this generation is automatically awesome since it isn't fucking up old pokemon.

Am I the only one who thinks #635 looks like King Gidorah?

I can see what you mean, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was intentional.

And are also of those type listings correct, or just guesses? Because the fire starter becoming a fire/fighter again is just sad.

EDIT: I just noticed that a lot of the new Pokemon have the type bug/steel. Forretress is a pretty cool Pokemon, but they didn't have to reuse his type to make bug Pokemon good. Though I suppose this is better than a bunch of bug/flying.

Bug types are always shoved into the corner.

Till a year ago I had this beautiful poster. It went from ... Balbusaurrrrrsomething (small green creature) to Mewtwo. For me, those are the only pokemon really. I still like them, and we have some of the episodes on DVD.

I would describe the newer ones as After that, it became chaotic (colors) and unimaginative.

PLEASE!!! NINTENDO!!! stop making these games. my first reaction/opinion would be that the pokemon themselves stopped being good since the 2nd gen. the fist gen was awsome the second fantastic the third a few gems but mostly crap the fourth three words FLAMING MONKEY STARTER!!! the fith is starting to make me wonder if they arnt just taking the piss. yes there not as bad as half the fourth gen stuff but the seres seems to take after the games of being awsome in first gen being extremly good in second and them sought of dieing with new misty replacement and different voice actors all round but still having a few good episodes if any before loosing all my love for the franchise yes pokemon the series contains more filler than actual plot but i still liked it hell i even liked the manga they made. but theyve ceased to be good nowadays. second opinion i'll still probably get the game even if i have to fork out for a new 3ds like everyone else my favriot games were gbc ones but the pokemon game i enjoyed the most was emerald they had way better graphics it was in colour and most of it and the pokemon actualy moved when you throw them out. and even thogh i say that the 3rd gen was mostly crap i really liked all the spinoff games ranger ,dungeon, channel and colosium and probably more. and ive liked alot of the new adittions and gimmicks pokemon that follow you around moving pokemon little pokemon contests and even though i hated the 4th gen pokemon some of the forth gen pokemon are really cool like weavile i think personaly and lucario and mime jr. and ireally enjoyed pearl and diamond but i was mostly dissapointed by the hype there wasnt all that they promised and that probably makes me sour. and most of the movies were good well maybe not alot of the newer ones.but ive finally vented anoghth with this so there will be no more hating.

Almost all of them look insanely similar to pokemon from gen 1-3. And one of the last few looks like the one on the cover of Diamond or Pearl, whatever one it was. I love how they aren't even trying to make new designs anymore.
