I think my best friend is going to see it :(

He's seen the first one about 4 times.

Yes, he.

Are they on the street under your apartment? If so, piss out your window. Then go get a few gallons of water and make an evening out of it. You're welcome.

Stephanie Meyer's lack of intergrity to writing as well as a overwhelming lack of knowledge when it comes to the physiological nature behind vampires.
Uh, what physiological nature?

They're fictional creatures. They don't exist.
True...

However, if I am reading a book that has vampires in it, I want them to act like...I don't know...actual vampires. I'm not referring to characteristics, I am referring to the sparkling, the fact that Edward (from what I interpret) walks around in sunlight and if the Wikipedia article I read has any merit, he goes to like the Carribean in one of the later books.

I worded it awkwardly, I admit, but when Edward and his family defy all the logical components of being a vampire, its not worth the effort.

Does that clarify what I meant?

Oh damn...sorry, I didn't realize I mispelt the word. My bad.
To be fair, vampires dying in sunlight is a fairly recent development. Bram Stoker actually has Dracula out during the day at one point. Admittedly Dracula is considerably weaker during the day, but he's not a pile of ash by any stretch of the imagination. So that's not a complete departure from classic vampire lore on Meyer's part. The sparkling and the not feeding on humans, a little much for me. That and the movie was just fucking terrible. Maybe they should've hired some actors who can actually act.
