So, I'm bored, as usual, and haven't made a thread in a while, so why not do one now. It seems like there is a lack of interesting threads right now. I was wondering what you all thought about the forums today. By this I mean what has your experience been like on the forums today while we have been missing some prominent members. How has your experience been different today as a result of this, if at all?

Now I know that the bans are a joke. But its kind of weird to come on here and not see many of the familiar faces. Think what you want about all of them, although they are all really nice people in my opinion. As humans we all enjoy familiarity on some level and I know, just like the sunrise, I can wake up and see one of them on here whenever I am. Its kind of soothing in some weird way. I also think it creates a sense of community that seems lacking without them.

I'm not trying to stroke any of these people's egos and claim that the forum couldn't exist without them, but doesn't it feel different?

Lets analyze this unique occurence.

Meh, not too different really. I go in to interesting threads, I post, I walk out unless it's really interesting. The April Fools threads have been a tad annoying though; if people insist on doing them couldn't they at least put some effort in 'em?

Wait, I thought everyone with over 7000 posts was gone? Regardless, you have the highest post count without being banned of anyone I've seen on here today...

Or did the mods use an entirely predictable 'over 9000' gag? Even on April Fools, that's weak.

Let's think of it as an all-stars club. Those that were banned were strong members of the community, had recognizable faces(avatars)and flooping humongous post counts. That leaves us normal, non-celebrity guys to discuss this phenomenon in glee! Yay!

Agreed. It's like the originiality and humour was sucked out of the people creating these threads by sort of fucking cloak and dagger government agency.
