You're just not looking hard enough... Check out All Good or Gathering of the Vibes... the lineups are always awesome.

Metal festivals specifically. I saw Primus at All Good (year of Ween, Black Crows, Anastasio) but overall we never get any bands from Europe that I love. Nothing I truly enjoy and prefer overall is ever in the lineup. Everything caters to some hippie fest or indie rock concert. I wish they combined the sub-par rock bands with metal acts so that they could actually tour the States. But that'll never happen giving the mindset of how people view "rock" these days.

The only one I can think of is that I recently found out that the BBC in the UK, doesn't have commercials, that in the UK, you guys pay for some kind of TV license and boom, no commercials. Is that why when I see adverts after BBC shows advertising when the show will be on next, that the shows never start at the same time and at weird times like 7:20 or 7:25.

I wish America had less Crazies like the rest of the world (We have the most people that believe in Conspiracy Theories from Hitler's Death to Kennedy's Assassination to Presley's Death to 9/11... Only a matter of time before the Conspiracy of M. J.'s Death Surface!). That or a Free Form of Health Care would be nice.

The rest of the world has plenty of crazies. An unsettling number of Russians believe... something that has flown giggling from my brain for the moment and it is killing me that I can't remember.

Are you referring to the Russian people voting Joseph Stalin the 3rd greatest Russian in history? He was only third after the presenter of the show implored people to stop voting for him after Stalin leading in the polls for several weeks.

Civ V is a computer game. If you play exclusively on the PC, that might explain why games cost less for you than they do for me. If my memory serves me right, console games tend to be more expensive than PC games, right?

I only play on the PC, but a lot of my games have console versions as well. It may also have something to do with the fact that Civ V is the first game I've bought within the first week of release.

I think we might have an answer. But let's stop this now. Just look at the rest of the thread. Virtually the entire second page from here and up is filled with just uss two discussing the price of games...
