1: Lag. Always at bad moments, which will get you killed or lets you make mistakes.

2: Unsportmanship (if that word excists). I'm level 40. You are level 50. We both know
that you can kick my ass pretty hard. You don't have to proof it. Like ten times.
(This made me quit World of Warcraft, next to some other reasons)

3: Players who didn't read the manual and spam the chat with questions like 'How do I run'.

4: Gold farmers/sellers. Getting whispers about cheap gold, or getting spammed in the general
chat by them. Lovely.

5: The fact that I need to pay before I can play, on a monthly basis.

People who take gaming over-seriously. For example, one time when I playing Crackdown with another person(the only time I ever managed this, BTW) the other guy quit without warning, just because I was screwing around with him. Maybe I forgot that co-op on that game is supposed to be for two things: 1. Get help on a boss. 2. Screw around. We had both done the first one, so WTF is wrong with wanting to do the second?

It depends on what context 'screwing around' means.

If you mean playing the game with no particular gameplay goal in mind but still having fun, then it's worthwhile and personally I think that practice is what really defines the term 'game,' rather than only ever playing for the sake of a certain result.

If screwing around refers to trying to annoy other people, 'screwing them around,' then there is a great deal wrong with wanting to do that.

I've got more...
People who absolutely HATE one particular class, and will be certain to flame you if you ever play as/mention that class. This mostly applies to Snipers and Spys (in TF2). It is a legitimate class, and a lot of people are good at it. Use a class that's good against them and stop bitching. Or leave. Either.

Urm this was mostly in CS:S but ultra long range one shot kills annoy me.

I also refer to it as being looked at and dying as thats how it felt sometimes, still happens on COD4 alittle but not as much.

Also finally my week ban is over, what for Jinxy i hear you all ask. Well for sod all. thats right Joe nothing at all. Not using punctuation and caps i think. Ban me for flaming you I could care less but a week ban for my post was nothing more than an uncalled for show of too much power. For a first offence you could have just given me a warning.
In this forum those are the warnings. Just their way of doing it. If it keeps the standard of writing high it is worth it.

On topic: the kid last night on Halo who could not stop talking about everything he thought. Every idea, every thing he saw. It all came out. Don't think he shut up for 15 minutes of painful CTF failure. We were owned and then he just complained but his team sucking when he did nothing useful. You'd say something useful like relaying the position of a sniper and he'd say "Yeah well observed." It's called team work idiot, not everyone knows where every enemy is so you pass on the intel so they can kill them.

The new maps are nice though.

Some one on my team telling me his life story over voip (like i care) and not telling me that there is an enemy behind me about to give me some high velocity lead treatment.

That and people who make up there own net speak and then call anyone who doesn't understand a 'noob'. For example the word 'nade' instead of grenade; the more accepted term is 'frag' as in fragmetation grenade. It even has the same number of letters. Now we can differentiate between frag, smoke and flash.... wow check that out.

1. People on your team that start telling you their entire life story, instead of telling you that there is an enemy behind you that is about to give you a heavy dose of high velocity lead.

2. People who make up their own net speak and call everyone 'noobs' if they don't understand, in some twisted attempt to make it popular. *rant start* There is no such word as nade. The more accepted term is frag as in fragmetation grenade, that way we can tell the difference between frag, smoke and flash....wow how convenient *end rant*.

3. People who think they can say what every they want because they are anonymous on the internet. Makes me want to come round their house and kick some ass; Jay and Silent Bob style.

Now days i only play local lans or against people i know on the internet. If the need arises to play on a public server, i switch off the voip and text and play my own way.

it used to be people playing music/singing/breathing/talking down the mic but now i just mute anyone who i even suspect of having a headset so it's not really a problem anymore. i don't hate people or anything, it's just that no-one online ever has anything worthwhile to say. also, it's just a bit boring and repetetive. i normally just go on for about half an hour at a time or something because any longer and it gets repetetive.

I work in a game store and everyone I talk to agrees, the kids who are not even supposed to be playing these games according to the ratings are the most annoying things about online play.

Being called American. I'm a Canadian.
Being patronized by Canadian stereotypes.
Being told to shut up when defending myself from verbal onslaught.
(In Star Wars Battlefront, where you have to press t to chat, wherein you can't move or do anything until you press enter or esc) Being killed while chatting.

Yknow, the whole thing about whiny 12-year-old kids is obvious, but it made me realize something else. Often, I hate the people who instantly discriminate those kids. They're trying to offer advice to the team, not whining or being too annoying, and someone starts yelling for them to shut up. I realize they're below the ESRB, but did anyone really follow that? Don't be rude to them unless they're actually doing something annoying...

Idiots who seem to think that TF2 is a deathmatch game. You need to pay attention to your team's needs, not what you feel like playing at the moment. Medic and engineer are my 2nd and 3rd most played class because I'm more interested in helping my team (read: winning. Everyone likes winning right?) than playing pyro all game.

Also, soldier is NOT overpowered. Soldier is versitile, yes. But its NEVER the best choice for a task unless it requires rocketjumping. Soldiers also have no lasting power in a firefight: a long fight leaves them damn near helpless as both their weapons perpetually empty.
Yes alot of people who play TF2 and don't pick what the team need's.

But you let your self down by claming soilder's are not overpowerd by claming the term long fight given how there is no such thing in TF2 and that there are ammo and health pick up's close to hand on all maps.

Versitile is great when balanced soilder's are not as you can never balance a High HP High DMG AOE class by making them run a tiny bit slower soilder thats not counting there INSANE crit rate 3 crit's right off form the start of the game.

When you compair soilder to all other job's its easy to see how overpowerd soilder is.

Scout fast but with low hp damage is kind of random scatter gun can be deadly or a pea shooter.

Pyro short range ok damage able to find spy's easy.

Heavy super slow but high health and short range damage that can't hit much at mid to long range.

Demoman ok speed health and balanced damage (not counting sticky bomb spam)

Engi able to build short range lowish hp and so so damage.

So how is soilder balanced again ?

People blind to overpowerd job's.

I was doing the former. I may have annoyed him, but if I did, it wasn't intentional.

I have a phrase for you. You may want to locate the nearest leather thong or tiny mammal to bite down on, 'cause if you're like me it could cause seizures:

"Blame Canada!"

... nnng, it's no easier when you do it yourself. Fuck you, South Park. I can barely mutter out "I'm from Toronto" before half a dozen people regurgitate that ancient spew.

On the other hand, I have a vast amount of fun spreading misinformation and lies, so whenever people start displaying their ignorance I see no reason why I shouldn't do my best to foster it. It's going to flourish in my absence anyway, and convincing some twit that the King of Canada visited my very first dogsled race makes me gleeful with malice.

Anyway.

My biggest peeve are those irritable fuckmothers with nothing better to do but try and ruin the game for everyone else. Griefers, in short. I have nothing but love for people trying to have fun in an unconventional way (back during my lonely, tragic Everquest days I would exploit a bug to get Levitate and Minor Illusion on me at the same time, turning myself thusly into a flying carpet that gave rides all through Freeport), but when that way involves nothing else but making other people miserable I start wishing I was alive and conscious in time to implant a grenade in your mother's womb for your prenatal self to snuggle. If you're doing this in an MMOG where your goggling fuckassery could cost people days of effort, well, I feel my revenge is in the chromosome God so thoughtfully kept for himself.

Spawn campers on RSV:2, they stay so far away so when you can finally get a shot on them your spawn shields gone they rape you and brag about being 'leet' in the lobby afterwards.
