What triggers do you have that send you into a nerd-rage?

One of mine is when people ask why they didn't just ride the eagles to Mordor/Rivendell/etc. The eagles are heralds of and were devised by Manwë himself, the leader of the Valar. When they help, it is basically divine intervention. It's not like calling a horse or something. The eagles are not at your beck and call.

I know that I have others, but I can't recall them right now. Share yours!

Things generally don't. Nerd-rage causes me nothing but joy and laughter, because it's hilarious to see people freaking out over fiction.

Stupid players in League of Legends. Not necessarily bad players, but stupid players. I understand if you die in lane because you're playing a new champ or just aren't very good. Fine. Perfectly acceptable. But then there are those people. You know of whom I speak. Those people that charge headfirst into a 1v5 with you standing beside him, and then blames you for not helping once he inevitably meets his demise. Those people really irritate me to no end.

But! Gandalf was able to call on an eagle to rescue him form Saruman, coulnt he have called upon a single eagle the same way to save middle earth much faster and with less orc invasions? =p

OT: Last time Ive had a nerd-rage was when I was playing arean matches in WoW. Had a druid constantly CCing me for almost 10 min and at the end I just grew so pissed at beeing unable to do anything I started screaming and swearing at my teammate :(

Not really. They gathered info on the movements on Sauron's forces for the most part (they avoided direct involvement unless it was necessary), taking it to the White Council to do with what they willed. As Saruman was the head of the council at the time, they took it to him in Isengard first. The eagle just happened to spy Gandalf on top (conveniently before he died from exposure) while doing routine scouting patrols. If Saruman had just thought to use common sense and imprison Gandalf deep underground where he can't be heard or spotted, he'd never have been caught until it was too late. Elrond probably would've handed Frodo over to him without a second thought.

People who tell me the Matrix trilogy was good. Did they forget how horrible the Neo VS multiple Smiths fight scene was the second he picked up the poll? It went into videogame mode and totally ruined any and all immersion in the film. The third movie had some good fight scenes, but the fact that they took away the mystique about the plot by introducing "The Architect" basically destroyee everything.

In other words, it's a movie filled with great effects, awesome choreography here and there, but overall the films are rubbish. I felt this was as a teenager whenever I saw them.

It's a small thing, but whenever I see an Iron Man or Spiderman (or any other character that can travel quickly under their own power) action figure paired with a vehicle I get really annoyed. And I'm getting pissed off every time I see the 'Lightning Hammer' toy from the Thor movies, the hammer has a name people, it's Mjolnir. Use the proper goddamn name!

Look at Avatar, it's been heralded as 'the best movie of all time' by many, many people and it had very little, if any substance. It was just filled with flashy visual and CGI effects and had very little story ( as far as I could tell, though I could only watch about half an hour of it before it got too boring to finish).

When the term "graphic novel" gets used to describe any comic.
A graphic novel is a single release with a page count of about 75 or more. When Watchmen was released (hate the movie, love the comic) it was reffered to as based on a graphic novel, when it isn't!!
It was released monthly over a year, and then collected into a TradePaper Back. It is a comic book. There are others, but that one stands out.

30 second computer hacking done in movies.., actually anything computer related displayed in a movie will make me nerd rage, CSI too for the same reasons.., lets just say all computer related and internet related topics in any form of media (other than technology journal/blog) make me nerd-rage due to inaccuracy.

Nothing else really makes me nerd-rage. An interesting follow up to this thread could be what makes you nerd-gasm?

"Halo has no story."

The six games, anime films, live action shorts, seven books (five more on the way), short story collection, graphic novel, six comic books, character journal, and amazing audio drama beg to differ you fucking prick.

Other than that, not much, but I will correct people if I hear them saying things that are blatantly wrong.
This. Look, i LIKE Halo. I don't care if it "doesn't contribute" anything to gaming. It was the first FPS i ever played, and for that i love it.

OT. People who have only seen the Star Wars prequels (and not the original ones) and think that they know Everything about Star Wars ( mostly 8-10 year olds ).
Both of these. So so much.

It's particularly awful when people I know try and claim that the Prequels were BETTER FILMS! I have come close to punching people for saying that.

This happens to me when ever people talk about continuity or mythology of something I know about. Like once I saw someone talking about Dragon age, saying that the worshiped the elves "Old Gods" when that was actually their enemies, or something like that. I don't go insane on them for it or something, but it does kind of piss me off when people can't keep the big things straight.

I've seen all 6, so I'd say they're about equal, maybe with the OT slightly better in terms of movies, but the prequels really expanded the universe to ridiculous levels, which is great.

I get pretty mad whenever the topic of "Which superhero could beat which superhero in a fight" because the Flash (Wally West) always wins. "Oh, but Batman is always prepared!" He's prepared, but not for everything. "Oh, but Superman is invulnerable!" No, he's not, he's just really tough. "Oh but blah blah blah blah blah!" Shut the fuck up! Flash would win EVERY TIME because of three important words:

INFINITE MASS PUNCH.

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images/users/uploads/12521/1245663123804.jpg

You can't beat that! You just can't! Even in the DCAU Flash was the most powerful member when he wanted to be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxRySoNAmaM

You may not like the Flash, but just because you don't like him doesn't mean he'd lose a fight.

Look at me! I'm even nerd raging about it without provocation!

Pretty much how people play video games in tv show and film. How hard is it to simply film them playing a game for real? Example I think it was in Angel or Buffy that Spike was playing a Donkey Kong game on the N64 however in the next scene he is playing it with a PS2 control pad!

People who think movies depict historical events with 100% accuracy.

No, Antonio Salieri did not hate Mozart! There's actually strong evidence that he greatly admired the composer. There's no evidence whatsoever that First Officer William Murdoch killed anyone on the Titanic! No, red was not the common color for Fokker triplanes like in Flyboys! Only Manfred von Richtofen flew an all-red plane! And he didn't shy away from killing, like in the recent "biographical" film The Red Baron(in his own words, "aim for the man [in the plane], and don't miss him)! And Lanoe Hawker was flying a DH.2 when Richtofen shot him down, not an SE5!

And...and...GAAAAAAH!
