CSI too for the same reasons..
YES...that, completely. I had to stop watching the show after I took my course in evidence collection and handling. I started screaming at the television every time they did anything;

"Why the #&%$(# are you setting up INSIDE the crime scene?!?!"

I used to love the show before I actually knew ANYTHING about evidence collection...

When people think they are Fallout fans and huge experts when they have played 3 and New Vegas. And they usually praise 3 way too much, especially for a person who has never played 1, 2, tactics or even BOS. Those people are usually just annoying as all hell.

Unfortunately loads of things make me nerd rage. Mostly people who say Evil Dead 2 is a remake!
The first 8 minutes are a re-cap of the first film but only focusing on Ash and his girlfriend. Filmaker Sam Raimi couldn't get the rights to the first films footage or all the actors to reprise their roles for the re-cap.
The second film starts when the force in the woods grabs him.

Pretty much how people play video games in tv show and film. How hard is it to simply film them playing a game for real? Example I think it was in Angel or Buffy that Spike was playing a Donkey Kong game on the N64 however in the next scene he is playing it with a PS2 control pad!
This. Just this.

It's even worse when what's shown on the screen looks nothing like an actual video game would look like, yet it's passed off as being a "video game."

The topic on the front page of the off-topic forums "Which anime character are you most like" makes me nerd rage in that every single person who posts in it is either delusional or a liar. Seriously, they are characters, not people and any similarities you have to them are either entirely superficial or you are mimicking said character that you like.

I like hamburgers and kids, does that me like Ronald frickin' McDonald?

Nor am I the Hulk because I'm angry.

Remind that evolution is a theory, but so is religion. That equalises the positions, so you can play the Evidence Game.

When people herald TF2 as the best multiplayer experience ever. I played it for about 10 minutes before I got bored. Now, I'm not saying that you shouldn't be able to think TF2 is a great game. Its when someone goes up to you and says "TF2 IS THE BEST MULTIPLAYER GAME, YOU ARE WRONG" (yes i've had someone do that).

The rage is enormous!

The phrase "RPG elements" used to mean character stats and levelling. There are RPGs beyond D&D, you know, and most of them are about playing roles and creating stories, not solving math problems.

Next thing you know, we'll be praising these forums for employing "literature elements," i.e. words.

One of mine is when people ask why they didn't just ride the eagles to Mordor/Rivendell/etc. The eagles are heralds of and were devised by Manwë himself, the leader of the Valar. When they help, it is basically divine intervention. It's not like calling a horse or something. The eagles are not at your beck and call.
I'm not trying to make you nerd rage, but wouldnt the eagles have done middleearth and themselves a favor by destroying the ring? If Sauron got the ring back, all of middleearth, probably including the area where the eagles live (sorry, not informed about that), got destroyed/slaved. So the eagles would not have served anybody, they would have saved everybody.

If there is a major point I'm missing, elaborate where I am wrong. Go easy on me :)

When anyone puts an apostrophe in a word when they pluralize it. That bugs me to no end! It's second grade grammar!

Two things that cause Nerd rage in me:
1. Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Why does almost every person in it use Dante, Sentinel, Ryu or Akuma?

2. Brainiac: Science Abuse - Ever since I started doing experiments in school, I found myself shouting at the screen whenever they did an experiment, shouting things like "That's not a suitable control!" or "You haven't repeated the experiment!"

How somehow every movie/series only has tecnology that is either too advanced to be realistic or, as in most of the time, tecnology from the 90's.

"Halo has no story."

The six games, anime films, live action shorts, seven books (five more on the way), short story collection, graphic novel, six comic books, character journal, and amazing audio drama beg to differ you fucking prick.

Other than that, not much, but I will correct people if I hear them saying things that are blatantly wrong.
This. Look, i LIKE Halo. I don't care if it "doesn't contribute" anything to gaming. It was the first FPS i ever played, and for that i love it.

OT. People who have only seen the Star Wars prequels (and not the original ones) and think that they know Everything about Star Wars ( mostly 8-10 year olds ).
Both of these and people who think that the star wars extended universe don't count

Arguments with people who don't read comic books or know much about superheroes. They argue points like 'Batman is shit, he has no powers', overlooking the fact that heroes are entirely dependant on the writer/artists who depict them. It's just frustrating talking about heroes with people who don't take into account characterisation, situation, their allies and rogues gallery, mission and motivations etc etc

The grandfather paradox as an excuse to things that would simply be solved by leaving a note to your alternate future self. e.g.: "Kill Voldemort"

Back when I was playing WoW on a RP server, I could NERDRAGE endlessly about people who ignore in-universe rules just so they could have their character. This might also have to do with the fact that I DM at a D&D campaign.

But I hated the;
genki girl warlock.
The Light wielding undead.
People who played Blood Elf Deathknights as Darkfallen.
etc.

There was nothing wrong with say a non-xenophobic Night Elf. I mean there are exceptions to the general rule of a race.

But seeing as how Fel powers are extremely corruptive, illegal and basicly the blood of the enemy. Playing your warlock as a happy go lucky teenager really grinded my gears.
I agree with the teenager part, but a Warlock can be happy go lucky, if only because that's how their insanity presents itself

Christ... No. Just no.

Evolution is a theory in the way that gravity is a theory. The way that colours are a theory. The way that germs are a theory.

When you learn the theory behind a subject, you're not learning about the speculative ideas behind something. You're learning the principles that explain said subject.

There is a profound difference between a scientific theory (as in the case of "Theory of Evolution") and a 'theory' in common parlance. The scientific equivalent to a 'theory' is a hypothesis. A scientific theory is a very robust and testable explanation of how something works.

You can disagree with evolution until the cows come home, if you have something to back up that claim. But denying evolution because it's "just a theory" means you're a fucking idiot.
You are correct sir, although I am guilty of using theory instead of hypothesis, platy because it's easier to say
