Depression. Nothing good comes out of depression. Not even great art. Maybe valuable human experiences come out of it, but the victim is often too depressed to record or artistically express said experiences.

A little sadness can motivate people to change their lives for the better. Depression will make someone want to do that, but simultaneously kill their motivation and energy to do so.

Most mental problems do have an upside. Maybe they don't outweigh the negatives, but they are there. Depression does not have a single good outcome or side effect. It is utterly useless, it is oblivion's archery skill in the character creation of life, it is the karashian of the human soul, a mental chocolate teapot, the bad AI of the mental disorder Squad based shooter, a completely pointless random excercise in misery that can just decide to claim any person at any time like that annoying friend who turns up at your doorstep, enters without asking, raids your beer stash and "borrows" your copy of the alien quadrilogy.

Fuck depression.

Casual games

Don't get me wrong, I was one of the people totally for the inclusion of the casual market because it was interesting to see something new! So what if I don't like Kinect, angry birds and wii shovel ware, it's not hurting anyone, right? ...RIGHT!? My god, this gen.. I have never seen so much effort put into games where you do nothing. What happened to there being variables in the environments of FPSs? Complex maps? Keycards, secret weapons... you know, something instead of nothing? Now FPSs are just connected hallways where you point and click, and that can pretty much sum up all of gaming right now. But hey, why add in all that extra stuff when you can just make a cinematic experience and get more money reeling in people who had no interest in playing video games to begin with? We wouldn't want to scare away that cash cow by actually making our video game into a video game. Pretty much what Bioware said word for word in response to people telling them their game sucked. They didn't want it to be 'video gamey'

This is truly fu***** sad that the only fulfilling game experience I have had for the entire year is Dust: An Elysian tail and New Super Mario 2.

It was only a matter of years ago that list would have been 8x bigger at this point in the year.

Bad ideas, just imagine a world where every idea benefited mankind, it was never four steps forwards and twenty two steps back. This is actually a lot broader, with no bad ideas, George W. Bush never would have been elected president, MTV would never have stopped airing music videos, Hitler? You bet he wouldn't have been given power. ;) AND the kicker every movie that came out of Hollywood would be worth watching because it'd be a new and original idea.

Reality T.V.

Maybe then the people who star in them could be shamed into at least somewhat decent behavior. Yes, I'm looking at you, Jersey Shore!

Drugs and tobacco. That is to say illegal drugs like marijuana, cocaine, heroin, etc. All they do is rot people away both physically and mentally until only a lazy, foul-smelling husk remains.

Also racism, sexism, and religious intolerance.

Magic.

Seriously, magic sucks.
When was the last time you heard magic doing something good in the world. I mean they haven't even mentioned magic on the news even once for years. I certainly haven't seen any big articles in my local newspaper about how magic made someone's life better or how it helped in disaster relief efforts.
When it comes down to it, magic has down squat to make the world a better place.
So I say, if magic isn't gonna be of any use then we might as well get rid of it.
I mean it's like it practically doesn't exist anyway so we wouldn't really be a huge loss I feel.

The problem with removing one bad element of human civilization/nature is that they are intertwined and complex. If we eliminate world hunger the population of the world increases like crazy and we run out of space, use a shit ton of natural resources, and create new problems such as environmental destruction from larger populations. If we eliminate war, those who served best as soldiers will have to find something else to do for a job, gun manufacturers go out of business, and even more competition for jobs result as any and all military service men and women are unemployed. Every solution causes more problems regardless of what is solved, hell no crime would put every cop and law enforcement agent out of a job that they worked to feed their family. If you eliminate religion, there are fewer reasons for people to act kind and moral, no church or mosque is there to remind them of the power of giving and treating the poor. Also eliminating religion takes away a powerful social and cultural identity and relation to others. I say this as an agnostic person who does not know if God exists or not, I do know that church offers believers a place to meet people that share their values and ideas. Getting rid of monogamy and discouraging staying with one person does increase the risk for STDs, sorry people you are not always going to remember to slap on a condom when your brain is focused on boning the hot momma in front of you or the best girl you could get considering the circumstances. Oh and the unexpected kids that she births, to be a good parent you can't be spending too much time riding the village bicycles, you've got some diapers to change.

I think this was the thing in question, "Renormalisation".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renormalization
Oh yeah. That. There are sometimes inconsistencies between what is expected to happen, and what actually happens. QP is good at describing what happens on the tiniest of scales, but when the distances become a bit large, it starts unraveling and renormalization is needed. QP is still being developed, and is by far a complete theory, but it works pretty well, and can describe many of the strange effects we observe in particle interactions. It is a rather interesting subject to be honest.
And that's why Quantum Theory should die in a fire.

That, and everything else. It's just all those bullshit infinite that I hate. Like virtual particles and the sheer number that could exist for a short time. Fuck that, I don't need that bullshit in my reality! :D

Oh yeah, and entanglement acing instantly over huge distances so it pretty much ignores the speed of light. Fuck that too :p
Herp derp, let's ignore everything that doesn't fit in our way of viewing the world! Never mind that it actually fucking happens, and can be measured and observed!

Emotions and sleep.
Too much of the first and lack of the second clouds thought.
Imagine how clear one could reason without these two?
It would solve all major problems if people started thinking straight.

Ignorance things would be so much better without it we would understand everything and everyone perfectly we would be omniscient. Yeah that would be pretty awesome or everything would be destroyed depends on how ignorance is got rid of I suppose but im willing to take that risk.

Other than that procrastinating as it wastes so much of my time.

Also for those saying sleep I think it would be better if you said tiredness as just getting rid of sleep will make everyone really pissed off and tired and likely dead within a year.

why has nobody mentioned this one yet?!

If you don't use it, people guilt you into using it or assume there's something wrong with you for not using it.
If you use it, people stalk your shit.... seriously, no everyone has to when my relationship status changes, or when some person tags me in a picture! And I hate when people get pissy at me for not attending an event thy invited me to.

Also this Aerostream1908 guy..... he's a poopoo head!

If x didn't exist then someone else would have thought of it later anyway. Religion, facebook, Jedward....

I'll choose Rhianna. Her face annoys me, I'd be a little better off without it.

Just certain untalented shits in pop culture, really poor quality media and products, psychotics in high positions.

Oh fuck it. Corruption sums it up perfectly.
