Sounds good to me. And can we get rid of the arrogance that comes with atheism while we're at it? Or just arrogance in general?

Preferably, the religious ones just drive me up the wall the most. Its like... if I say something that is against what they believe they ether freak out because I'm telling them what they say isn't right or because I say what I say I'm not going to heaven and therefore must be "Saved".

Just leave me alone already.

Aside from the obvious (rape, murder, greed, famine, disease, etc.), tobacco. What has that plant contributed to the planet other than cancer and bad smells?

Marmite. It smells terrible and tastes even worse. If it's existence was erased then maybe the creators would make something worthwhile putting on toast.

Perfectly understandable, good sir. And I agree: the world would be better without that kind of thinking.

It's just that, having been on this site for a while and having time and time again seen a chorus of people saying something to the effect of "Let's get rid of an entire way of thinking because we don't agree with it and there's people who think like that who act like total dicks" gets a little...tiring after a while. I mean, hell, I've encountered some tremendously dickish atheists who made a point to be a complete jerk to me just because I'm not an atheist, but that doesn't mean I think atheism itself isn't a valid worldview and should be eliminated, or that all atheists should be judged based upon the actions of said jerks.

Anyway, rant over. Sorry, it's just been building up for some time. >_<

How about stupidity?

Without it, I believe, we would solve a lot of the problems in today's world.

I'll agree with the sleep one (mostly because I don't get enough). how about relieving oneself (taking a dump), meaning we could eat as much as we want and never gain weight, remove sleep and relieving yourself and we would have so much more time. but keep food becuae it's YUmmy. If you remove sleep you would never be tired, perhaps maybe not completely remove it but make it so we only require like an hour sleep rather than 6-8hours

FACEBOOK!

why has nobody mentioned this one yet?!

If you don't use it, people guilt you into using it or assume there's something wrong with you for not using it.
If you use it, people stalk your shit.... seriously, no everyone has to when my relationship status changes, or when some person tags me in a picture! And I hate when people get pissy at me for not attending an event thy invited me to.

Also this Aerostream1908 guy..... he's a poopoo head!
God so much this if I have to explain why I don't have facebook to one more person and listen to them have a shit fit about it I might have a breakdown.

OT the fifty shades books they must die
I don't have Facebook and most people who ask never try to persuade me. Then again when someone tried to persuade me I just said "Fuck. Off." never bothered again.

In a very narrow view point. Opinions. If we had a hive mind imagine the progress we could make and nobody would be treated unfairly.

I think this was the thing in question, "Renormalisation".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renormalization
Oh yeah. That. There are sometimes inconsistencies between what is expected to happen, and what actually happens. QP is good at describing what happens on the tiniest of scales, but when the distances become a bit large, it starts unraveling and renormalization is needed. QP is still being developed, and is by far a complete theory, but it works pretty well, and can describe many of the strange effects we observe in particle interactions. It is a rather interesting subject to be honest.
And that's why Quantum Theory should die in a fire.

That, and everything else. It's just all those bullshit infinite that I hate. Like virtual particles and the sheer number that could exist for a short time. Fuck that, I don't need that bullshit in my reality! :D

Oh yeah, and entanglement acing instantly over huge distances so it pretty much ignores the speed of light. Fuck that too :p
Herp derp, let's ignore everything that doesn't fit in our way of viewing the world! Never mind that it actually fucking happens, and can be measured and observed!
Whoa whoa whoa! Did you just insult me? I thought we were having a 1/2 serious and 1/2 silly line of conversation.

I get you like physics but jeez, calm down. I don't actually think it should burn in a fire.
It's good that you don't actually think it should burn in a fire. Remember that we'll need quantum computers in the future for playing anything running on CryEngine 5 or above.

Plus if you think that's bad, you would HATE astrophysics. Space is an empty vacuum, unless it's got hydrogen in it, and cosmic rays are lying about their age, and apply special relativity if you bloody well feel like it. I hate that guy.

Just stick more cores in PCs, that'll solve everything :p
It doesn't solve the "I'd quite like to get published for my work in quantum computing" problem.

Or the "reducing shit to polynomial time" problem.

Or the "astrophysics is still stupid" problem.

Though I really want to see if I can come up with a proposal so that people will fund me to play games on a supercomputer now... To the grant proposals!

I was going to say Me, it'd be like the ending of It's A Wonderful Life every day of the week for the world if I wasn't here (Not just the Escapist, I mean).

And Hornets, I suppose. I frickin' hate hornets. They have no reason to exist, they just hurt you, and I could live without Hornets in my life.

Honey Bees, on the other hand, I can't live without.

The entire world would have actually been better off if the Canadian residential schools had never existed. Not only did those things create an entire generation of people who had their cultural knowledge beaten and abused out of them, but it also created a generation of people who had no idea how to function outside of the reserves. In short, by the time they got out of the residential schools, they couldn't function within the reserves (due to having their culture, beliefs, and cultural history forcibly removed from their field of learning) and they couldn't function outside them. This led to residential school "graduates" having virtually nothing in the way of honest opportunity, causing many to turn to crime, drugs, and alcohol.

The residential schools were actually so effective, that Nazi Germany used them and the methods used in them as a base model for their concentration camps, effectively making the residential schools one of the most evil things that have ever been created.
