A huge amount of the metal side of rock (you could pick them out easily, they all had skulls or tombstones on the cover) has fallen by the wayside. I still choose to listen to Faith No More and Mike Patton's side projects (probably the best lyricist/vocalist I've heard). Other band's songs can still raise a smile but I wouldn't choose to listen to them. My taste has always been very varied, and as time moved on I found myself listening to electronic music a lot more, and I don't give myself enough time to watch the Jools Holland show (BBC/UK) but every time I do I'm glad I did.
I've learnt to not give in to going out for a curry - I never liked any of the underlying flavours really, and nowadays I politely provide an "I'm elsewhere" excuse if someone suggests it. The person suggesting it usually loves curry and gets pissed off if I suggest a chilli instead (which I love). Problem was that it's been used overly much as a stage for an office evening out, but often you'd pay for the meal yourself.
No more sweets. Ever.
(Edit: Looking back through the posts, quite a few mention metal. Maybe it's an age & demographic thing)
