Another one...

I don't get people who try to be different.

Theres nothing wrong with being normal and ordinary instead of looking/acting like a freak just to be different. It makes no sense to me. If you want to be something or act in a certain way then do it, but don't do it just to be different, do it because it comes naturally to you. And people who are NORMAL usually arent "conforming", (god, that word annoys me too, probably because *they* say it so much as some kind of bizarre insult) they just are naturally that way.

I guess what i'm saying is I wish everyone would just be themselves. And people who try to be different are much worse (and more irritating) than people who follow the crowd.

I don't get jocks. What's the point of being on the football team with the intelligence of a rock. I will never get the concept that is a woman. That could be due to my Asperger's Syndrome but every relationship I have had has ended in a big, steaming, pile of nothing. I feel invisible and hate it. But the worst is when the girl that I try and have a relationship with ends up dating a guy that does massive amounts of drugs. I don't understand the employment process. I filled out an oline survey for a job at Borders. I answered each question honestly. I did not hear anything back. I applied to Barnes and Noble, they were hiring, and I thought I was more that quailfied for the job. I did not get the job, nor the reason why I was not hired.

Reading music: I could never understand how it works. Example, why can't we just measure by notes by using a value of frequency and wavelength? With all the values you could define the way music works with, It's enough to make a head spin. Few things I don't get, what's the point of a measure? So it's suppose to say how many of what kind of notes, 3/4 (3 notes, quarter notes), why can't I just write 3 flippin' quarter notes!?

Women, don't get them either.

Why little kids find swearing so appealing.

Hmmm. My first post. =]

Anyways, people posted about a lot of stuff that I don't get already.
Fashion, over-doing it on drinking... a little goes a long way plus if you're sober you get to watch everyone looking stupid and laugh, and if you get hungry you can eat without puking!
Reading music, having wild pets (or most pets in general unless you have room for them to roam), spoiling children, over-weight children, cheaters/assholes on games and this:

I don't get the abused woman mentality. He hits you. He screams at you day in and day out. So why are you taking it? And why the hell do you attack anyone who tries to help?
------------
Lastly, I don't get people. You're weird and violent, and you keep doing shit that doesn't make any sense.
Also, I don't get why people say they're your friend then feel the need to stab you in the back.
Attention whores.
Illiterate people above the age of 8.
People who bash on others for playing MMORPGs. I play one, and have for 5 years and I enjoy it and the people who I've made friends with. If you dont like it, okay.. but don't tell me to stop playing it. =]

Things I don't get:
-Getting drunk (already been mentioned)
-Fashion/makeup (so much effort...doesn't change you as a person, only creates irritating stereotypes)
-Piercing (I don't need shiny things in my ears to prove I'm a girl)
-Dress codes (It's not what you wear it's who you are; looking 'fancy' often involves being uncomfortable, why bother?)

I'm sure there are others, but that's all I've got for now.
Well, getting drunk
1. lets you get away from your problems temporarily. I understand how people go through hard times, but this is a sign of weakness of character.
2. It may be considered a culturally accepted thing to do at parties; you don't want to be the party-pooper do you?
3. It could be used as a way to connect to people (embarrassing or not). Stories about how you saw Eric wearing a lampshade singing "Never Gonna Give You Up" is always funny the first time you hear it.

fashion/make up/piercing: again, culturally accepted/encouraged. I also find belly piercings pretty hot. Damn you culture for having an effect on me. (Damn you culture again for affecting me by forcing me into anti-culture. Damn you anti-culture for being there for me and others like me.)

Dress codes: Again, this is a cultural thing. In business environments, certain attire is considered appropriate. About your "being uncomfortable", you're wearing the wrong clothes then. It feels good to be in a nice suit. (dress attire) Seriously though, just feel the material and get the one that feels nice. It's not always the most expensive.

I never got the fanaticism that the lord of the rings got. It was a ok series but overall always liked the hobbit better as a book.

Any fetishes at all. Seriously, every part of the human body looks extremely weird when you think about it. Especially feet. If you have a foot fetish you are a sick, sick person.
Any fetishes at all?I mean I would love to meet the person who doesn't have at least one and then get to do a case study.

I don't understand most religous people.

I don't understand the whole craze over fashion.

I don't understand any piercing. At least you can see earings, but belly button rings? In fact, most jewelry is pretty darn useless.
Except Tounge peircings...

The whole "Let's just be friends" bullshit line and just girls in general.
Well if you ask out a girl who you don't know all too well and they say they just want to be friends, they just don't want to go out with you. It's an easy way to let you down. And if you've been friends with a girl for a while and she says something like that, she really just has no interest in you in that way. I'm sure you've had female friends who you had no intention of ever going out with, it's the same situation.

I don't get why both genders think the other one is so different. There are easy explanations to any problem you have.

Has there ever been a guy who's said to the girl "Let's just be friends"? Even biologically we're way different.

what i dont get is how people can enjoy the movies: Sin City and 300, i find them both to be pathetic excuses for movies, Sin City, i just dont get it, whats good about it?, the story is fucked up with No continuity (dont get me wrong, telling a story like that can work, Pulp Fiction is great, but Sin City just failed at it), and 300, how can that even be called a movie?, its more of a slide show with crappy fighting scenes and an Extreme overuse of the slow-mo effect.
