Did they learn nothing from the second movie? No....just...NO, we don't need another craptacular game movie. God dammit Hollywood stop choosing games that don't work as movies, and stop raping the games that WOULD work as movies.

As long as this one features this one thing Mortal Kombat is famous for, I'll be glad to give it a chance.

The 1st one rocked-if only for Cage crotch punching Goro.
#2 sucked to the point where I cried when I saw it.
A reboot sounds like the best they can do with what #2 did...

This has "bad idea" written all over it. The first Mortal Kombat movie has the distinction of being one of the extremely few movies based on a video game that's actually good. The second film was so bad one had to wonder how the two films were even related.

Ok, to all the people that said the first one wasnt that bad... I beg to differ! Lets look back at it... You may have been 10 or whatever when you watched it, but by god it was an awful film. I thoroughly enjoyed it, yes, but it was a terrible terrible movie! I enjoyed it because it was so god awful, and me and my friends were so hideously drunk when we watched it! lol.

Whilst the first had an element of entertainment to however, the second did not. That was a big pile of bull!

I liked the first one. The second one was PAINFULLY TERRIBLE. The third one couldn't be worse than the second unless they deliberately tried to make it worse.. We'll see.

Oh man. I love absolutely horrible but entertaining films. This will be no exception, only it won't have the horrific effects and nineties look of the original films. It doesn't matter though, it will be hilarious either way.
I hope that if it is a sequel to the others that Johnny Cage is back alive with no explanation whatsoever.

If this movie is made I hope they make great, awe-inspiring action scenes coupled with hilariously bad dialouge as the comic relief.

Erm, the first one wasn't great, the second one...damn, I think I erased that from my flashback memory, it must have been awful...still, can't be any worse than Batman and Robin right?

i wasn't 10 and i thought the first one was good, it wasn't an oscar award winning film but it was a good kung fu movie and good for a movie based on a video games

the second one was just really meh, it didn't have the same feel as the first one

let's hope they make a good movie of the third one, i don't expect it to be award winning but i do expect it to be entertaining

Who knows, maybe instead of fucking up the third movie in a trilogy (X-Men 3 and Spider man 3 and from what I've been told, Godfather 3) they'll have just fucked up the second one and the third one will be good. Who knows, I like watching horrible movies, unless those horrible movies happen to star Michael Myers. How does he still get funding?

Oh god no. If you want to know why there should not be a third mortal kombat movie go watch the nostalgia critic on the first two Mortal Kombat movies.
Yeah, that was the first thing that crossed my mind. Will they use the same intro again? :p

It does not have to be direct canon or anything, but stick with the lore is all I ask. Both movies messed with it, making heros into villians and vice-versa.
