I don't do meditation, but something that sometimes works to get my mind to slow down is to count from 0-500 in increments of 3, and back down again.perfectimo said:The only problem I have that affects my life slightly is that it usually takes me 2 - 3 hours of lying in total darkness each night to fall asleep. I wish I could slow down all the thoughts that go through my head at night, I was going to try mediation.
Does anybody do meditation here? Would it help me sleep?
You should get one of those vibrating cod pieces.Fightgarr said:Balls are really uncomfortable and require constant re-adjustment.
A good friend of mine has a similar complaint. She busted her knee playing netball, and now she can predict rain, heh. Her knee gets really painful about a day before a storm. I reckon it's handy, but she's not quite as impressed as I.thebobmaster said:My gosh darn knees. Ever since I dislocated my left knee two years ago, I can't run for more than a couple of seconds. Also, it hurts like a sonuvabitch in cold weather.
I agree, not funny at all.Knight Templar said:Not funny.C Lion said:I'm addicted to crack. I'm constantly shivering and I'm angry all the time. I'm going to go kill myself now.
I have the same issues as well with sleep. Melatonin helped a lot. You can get it in any drug/grocery store vitamin isle. It is natural and cheap.perfectimo said:The only problem I have that affects my life slightly is that it usually takes me 2 - 3 hours of lying in total darkness each night to fall asleep. My best mate through primary school had eczema really bad. Literally covered his entire body save for the majority of his face. I've haven't seen him in a few years, but I know how much pain and itching his condition caused him. You have my deepest sympathies. Makes my complaints seem like piss in bathwater.Vivaldi said:I have ezcema, a kind of skin disorder that causes rashes and scabs when I eat certain foods. For me its large amounts of sugar. Some people it is different but I cant eat a whole lot of sugar, mind you I am talking like 2-3 pounds equivilance, without getting rashes that itch like hell for a week.
And right now I have some dandruff so I think I will have a shower than go to bed.
I don't even take no-frills paracetamol when I get any sort of headache be it weak or strong. I just sort of ignore it and it has worked since I was young, so I won't be taking a drug to get me to sleep.axia777 said:I have the same issues as well with sleep. Melatonin helped a lot. Same here, though I don't usually notice it unless I'm thinking about it...like now. Weird thing is, I have perfect hearing and I've never had a head or ear injury, so the doctors have basically no clue why my ears ring all the time.Jaythulhu said:I have tinnitus (high pitched ringing in the ears, gotta listen to soft music all the time to make it go away).
