This Game Needs a Remake/Re-Release

Any of the Pokemon RPG games for the GCN. After playing Colosseum for the second time, I really need to get my hands on XD, but with school and saving up for a 3DS now that it's getting more games this year, it's stopping me from getting it.

Also DBZ Budokai 3 (best Budokai for the PS2)
Lego Racers (my childhood)
Sonic R (better than Riders in my opinion)
F-Zero (speaking of, when is Nintendo going to announce it)

Not always possible, unfortunately. You're assuming that everyone who wants to play these remakes owns the original game and system. Not always true. For example, my brother gave away our N64 (which I still loved dearly), so the remake of Perfect Dark was a god send to me.

I'm just saying that this getting out of hand can only end badly. And theres a lot of good games I can't play anymore, but if we temp the industry with all these games we think should be remade, then they will just render some more shapes into the game over the course of about a month at the most and then sell it back to us for another good 60 bucks.
Kinda like my blu-ray of toy story....which I totally don't regret. xD

Calm down, bro. Geez. Anyway, just because Halo is getting a remake, does that mean 303 isn't gonna make the new trilogy? Just because ICO and SotC are getting remakes, does that mean Team Ico won't ever put out a new game? Just because God of Wars I and II got remakes, did that mean that Santa Monica wouldn't make other great games, including a sequel to the two games I mentioned?

We buy remakes because we want to relive those titles with the technology of the new generation. Let me apply your logic to my own argument. It's a lot like buying games from the same series. If you just buy games from a certain series, such as Metroid or Zelda, Nintendo is going to focus on what made those games great and abandon Mario and all the other series that they have going. See where I'm going with this?

Your logic is flawed, because the developers of a series know that we want the series to continue. We want fresh, we want new. It's only natural to get bored of something after so long, and the devs can understand this, so they continue to pump out new material. I hope you understand my argument.

I still stand firm that this will end badly, but hey, I might get a nicer looking Crash Bandicoot 2, or ape escape.
Daaaah, w/e fine. Maybe it won't be the end of the world...Just a good portion of new ideas....which has been kinda stagnate-y anyway.

crash bandicoot 3: warped. seriously, that is a godly game. they can throw in the first 2 as well and bundle it together as one game. but only if it's done by naughty dog. the new crash games are just plain awful. crash of the titans? mind over mutant? seriously?

Final fantasy 7. All the the MGS's would be good if they were graphically updated, it would just round off the series very nicely to have a HD update I think. Chrono trigger. Alundra.

Easily Gunstar Heroes for Sega Megadrive.
There have been a few iterations on handhelds and console virtual stores, but never a full HD remake. Shame to see such a great co-op action game ignored.

Not just Final Fantasy VII, but VIII and IX as well. Those are probably the 3 best games Square ever made.

This would make an awesome downloadable bundle on xbox live arcade. Hell, I wouldn't even need them to be HD.

Freelancer would be top of my list.
Thief 1 and 2 as well. Those would really benefit from the lighting and graphical advances the last half decade has seen. (Could never get Thief 3 to run on my Vista machine. Guess I'll have to try on Win7)
A Morrowind port to the Skyrim engine would be awesome.

And does anyone miss Cate Archer? We need a No One Lives Forever reboot.
Too bad the FPV single-player adventure/shooter genre has totally gone down the dull-gray/brown space-marine tunnel.

The old X-Wing and Tie Fighter games. Getting them to run these days is almost too annoying to bother... until you remember how good they are.

The space-flight game seems to have gone out of fashion or something.
Other than the X series there hasn't really been an attempt to revitalize the genre

I loved Xwing/TIE Fighter/Freespace 2/Xwing Alliance I guess freelancer was pretty good too.

Although I am rather concerned about the people who found Tifa and Aerith(Aeris depending on which translation you look at) etc. attractive with the old graphics. I think there would just be mass explosions if a FF VII remake was released
