I had a glitch that was a bit similar to this, except on a much smaller scale. The sign tags mod (that lets you use signs as clocks or thermometers and such) for some reason made it so my view was like my head was turned 90 degrees to the right but i was still facing forward with hitting/block placing. Also, it made it rainy, BEFORE the weather update was released.

Just mute the sound and watch the video though, it's worth seeing all of it.
